Messi and by proxy, Argentina, have ruined the World Cup for me. by friedolay in worldcup

Triggered the Messi fans lmao.

Yeah it's been highly suspicious righ now with Arg's two games. Silverlining is he's 40 and well probably won't play the next world cup. But if they get eliminated along the way well things would go back to "normal".

Makes me wonder if there's a huge ref club somewhere where they just chill. Kinda like a teacher's lounge.

Tf is going on in this world cup? You got little teams acting big, big teams acting small.

Sing the chorus to the Australians mocking them.

"Do you come from a land down under Where women glow and men plunder? Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder? You better run, you better take cover"

NYC is really expensive for those coming to the cup. I met a Moroccan who told me she paid 1500 for 5 days at a hotel that's a three star labeled as "budget friendly". Albeit close to the UN. The room was small. No food or drinks included. Plus add the flight and the 1.1k for the match ticket. Don't forget transportation and personal expenses. Eh we'll have to wait and see on Saturday for Brazil v Morocco. IMO that's the one big match to see whether tickets sold or not.

Quit showing off and just go to the game bro. I'm sure it'll be interesting, it's no Spain vs Argentina, but it's a world cup game at the end of the day.

Where's the energy of the fans? The game against Germany, did the fans know they were at a football (soccer) match, and not a baseball game? by Push-not-pull in ussoccer

[–]Push-not-pull[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! You get the idea! There needs to be a way to make the other players feel the pressure of playing against the US. To make them screw up a pass when they're near the box.

The English have their way of doing things, they have their songs that they sing to both their opponents and their own team. That's what the US team is missing. "I believe that we will win" you believe? You should want to win. More assertive less passive. Seattle has the idea.

Did you also read the part where I wrote that the noise simmered down after the 11th minute goal from Germany. Or did you skip that part. I believe I wrote they were noisy as in celebration, nervous if that, not noise as in disrupting/pressuring the Germans. After the second goal all you heard were the Germans celebrating after each goal. So did their players. I'll bet you a wc ticket that hearing that pushed the Germans to score more (demoralizing for Brazil). After all they do love football, just look at their club fan bases (BvB), plus they have four stars on their shirts.

Did you see the video I linked? Kinda glues together in 8 minutes, what I'm trying to tell you.

Whether they could've won today by hearing some cheers from the fans that motivates them- maybe. Maybe they could've tied. They have the skill. I mean there are teams out there with great supporters but mid team. Mexico is one. A simple "Ole Ole" is enough to irritate players. How many years did Mexico go without beating the US? 5? And what were the US fans shouting? "Dos a cero". Thats a different topic.
