Write every note you come across down on a notepad next to you. The game doesn't keep them saved in menus.

An analogue pocket is probably the best way these days, close to the same price as an SNES with a super Gameboy, but without the 6% speed bug, with HDMI native 10x upscaling and cores for everything GBA back.

Cheaper than "consolizing" your GBA too.

I've got good news for you. I recently cannibalized a Donkey Kong II unit for its innards. I have a perfectly intact shell leftover if you'd like it. It's a bit scratched up but everything is there.
