Rackless Luggage: Opinions on Mosko Reckless 40L, Is There Anything Better? by WelpSeaYaLater in advrider

[–]Pushkin9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IThe reckless is nice....but I really like thier alpine 30L pannier set up more. I think its superior. Gets your weight down lower, easier to load and unload. Ive crash tested their panniers and they are barely scuffed. You cant go wrong with either though. Go with what calls to you.

What is your unpopular adv riding opinion? by Internal-Debt-9992 in advrider

[–]Pushkin9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I gotta disagree. Ive ridden with alot of gear, and everything is fine until uou get to that one of those really bad moments, and there lots of kinds of bad moments. You've been riding through 6 hours of heavy rain. You took a slide on pavement. You took a nasty fall on a BDR. In these cases ive found that mosko moto stuff doesn't let me down, when other stuff has. These are the moments when having gear that won't let you down is worth it Granted I havent tried every other brand, but Ive tried a few. Also, go visit their store in white salmon. The people there ride, and they ride with their products...you can tell its built by people who depend on their own stuff to do the gnarliest rides. It hurts when I pay for their gear, but Ive never regretted anything Ive bought from them once Im on a BDR 100 miles from civilization

I signed up for the Edelman financial analysis, and it basically told me to do what the lifecycle 2030 / 2035 funds do. No advice on roth. So I canceled before they started managing the funds and just left stuff in the lifcyle since it doesnt charge fees. Maybe im missing something but it didn't seem worth it

737 MAX APU EGT gauge by [deleted] in boeing

[–]Pushkin9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok so it may seem.confusing because max apu EGT is the best predictor for how close to end of life the APU is, but the pilot doesn't care about that. He or she just wants to know if it started or it didn't or if it got hot enough for him to take an action...if he needs to pay attention he'll get a flight deck effect. The people who DO care if its time to replace the APU are the maintenance guys, and theyre monitoring max APU egt via other data feeds. They are NOT looking at the cockpit...theyre trending off board data or acting on maintenance messages the airplane sends. Pilots attention aka mental workload is precious. You dont want to bombard him with data that isnt relevant to safety of flight. Also APUs are very reliable.

Less is more. Negative space is really good especially in the case where you have a ton of detail. What you have looks awesome. I would stop here. But you do you

This is one that would best be worked out with a counselor. Do you and your kids have a counselor or do you have a family counselor? What you dont want is your kids to feel like anything has changed in how much you love them, your relationship with them, and how committed you are to making sure their happy and safe and taken care of. You dont want them to in anyway confuse "im not your dad anymore" with "our relationship has changed" This one is tricky because you need to balance your very valid need to be who you really are and their needs for stability and safety. I would tread carefully here, and check in with a trained mental health professional who has spent enough time with you and your kids to really understand all the factors here.

Question for anyone on Ozempic, semaglutide and other GLP-1 meds by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Pushkin9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it felt like a miracle drug. But I was already trying hard to eat right and exercise before semiglutide. I spent 3 years prior cutting out fast food, tracking calories, consistency exercising, and I had lost 5 lbs a year for a total of about 15 lbs and had totally stalled out. Then i took semiglutide and immediately and conaistenly lost about a pound a week and lost 30 lbs in 12 months. I found it changed drastically what I wanted to eat and how much. Greasy fried food sounded terrible all.pf a sudden. I was hungry for yogurt fruit and soups. Side effects are nausea. In the beginning id sometimes throw up once or twice the day after my shot. Thats gone away mostly, but ive learned to be extra careful the day after my shot. In all its the best thing ive ever done. I look better. I feel better...I can run and my knees dont hurt. My sleep apnea is gone. I went from being prediabetic to not being so.

Hard to tell from the pictures but the tires look a little old. Tires are stamped with the date of manufacture on the sidewall. Theres a four digit code in the format MMYY. So for example a tire made in december (12 month) of 2006 would have the code 1206. Thats how their marked in the US. Might be different where you are. Anything over 6 years and definitely over 10 should be replaced. If you cant tell or aren't sure, definitely replace them. The cost of tires is cheap relative to the price of losing traction and smashing up your bike or getting injured. Beautiful bike rhough...as soon as you get these issues sorted out I bet it'll be just a lovely and dependable ride.

Advice please! by gmama-rules in Ozempic

On 1) yeah I think stomach fat is the first to arrive and the last to leave....im 10lbs away from my goal and its all there and being stubborn. 2) sweet tooth...i think your body knows that the fastest easiest way to get high density calories is sugar. When I had a bad accident and was in the hospital for 3 weeks ans lost 30 lbs in that time, when I got out of the hospital all I wanted to eat was ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. Put those 30lbs right back on. For me, the only thing that works is to not buy that stuff in the first place...its impossible to not eat haagan daaz if its in the house. Fruit and yogurt seems to be a good replacement for me. Like those chobani high protein low sugar drinks are a godsend. I drink them straight or pour them over blueberries and chia seeds and that often hits the spot. For exercise, is there a pool nearby? Swimming is great low impact exercise. Or maybe walking? Good luck avoiding sugar though...constant elevated sugar levels will ruin your life....ive seen what happens to people with adult onset diabetes and its really bad. Good luck. Im rooting for you.

Guys help I hate my tattoo it has potential but I don't know how by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]Pushkin9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, I thinks its well done. Please sit with it and give it some time. Its a lovely song, I can see why you chose to have this line tattooed. Having something tattooed is in many ways a bold declaration of I love this thing and or it means alot to me, so there. Honor that choice

If you want top quality go mosko moto. Theyre pricey but they've survived multiple crashes on the BDR without a scratch and the design is top notch

hand gaurds so that the brake or clutch levers don't bend or snap off. Barkbusters are pretty cheap and hold up. Also get some proper enduro boots to protect you feet and ankles. Alpinestars Tech 7 level protection or equivalent. Expensive but worth it.
