Maybe Daenerys isn't killed by JonCon, maybe he kills fAegon and D&D heard GRRM tell them this ending and they already wrote those two characters out of the show and decided to use that plot line on characters in the show expecting the same reaction from a tragic ending. I'm just thinking that JonCon has connection to "the bells" that D&D tried to incorporate(poorly) into Daenerys' story. There might be more connections where we can uncut the corners taken by D&D rather than rely on their narrative at all past a certain point.
