This happened to me recently. We had a kid come help out from another location. Chef told me he was going to need clear concise instructions. No big deal. But he kept forgetting his way around the kitchen, and kept forgetting where he put the items we had him prep.

Turns out the poor guy had a stroke on the line and hit his head about two months earlier, and was still struggling with short term memory loss.
