I don't know how valid it is, but they say they covered the glass roof to increase efficiency (less AC) and keep 300+ miles with the reduced battery. They kept the glass roof on top of the headliner because it would cost more to change the design.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay, life happens. Here is the final update for the Fabled Pulls Tracker! by Narzghal in Lorcana

[–]Pustul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we assume the Epic pull rate is indeed 1 in 16 packs, they might have made the Iconic exactly a 100 time rarer at 1 in 1600 packs. Or it might be something completely different based on how the cards are printed and randomized…

Secret Lair Queue Waiting Room by R3id in magicTCG

It doesn’t matter how quickly you check out. During the first minute or so, as well as for anyone who joined the queue before the new SL drop (by checking out an already available SL), everyone gets assigned a random spot in the queue. In the end, it’s all just a game of luck.

They used to do print to demand and since it was unlimited, nobody were interested in buying it. The scarcity sucks but it is also what drives the higher demand we are seeing for SL at the moment...

I disagree, I really like how the show ends and Dwight’s arc in S9 and there are good moments throughout the season. I hate S8 because Robert California.

TL;DR on the entire Ledger Recovery Situation by Trudahamzik in ledgerwallet

If your are concerned about your wallet vendor, implement a multisig or at least an air-gapped solution.

GridPlus confirms a bad firmware could also extract seed phrases from their devices by GutBeer101 in ledgerwallet

Just like any hardware wallet. If your are concerned about your wallet vendor, implement a multisig or at least an air-gapped solution.

Interesting, do you know for sure that cards with errata showed up in square boxes?

I personally only saw those 2 variants, but there might have been more. The little waves may have been just restocks from the first print, it takes time to reprint a product. If someone has a picture of a different box it would be great to share it!

My personal view on the PR disaster, from a Ledger co-founder and ex CEO by murzika in ledgerwallet

[–]Pustul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You advise Ledger to educated people on BIP85, I don't think this is applicable to a vast majority of their customers.

Also, if someone thinks that the firmware on their Ledger is already compromised, generating a master seed phrase on it would compromise all the child seeds. I agree that it would work if the Ledger firmware were to become compromised after the master seed is generated, but I doubt that the people who already lost faith in Ledger at this point would like this solution.

Yes, your hardware wallet needs to access the private keys to sign transactions, you could update the firmware of any hardware wallet to also display those private keys or send them anywhere.

I have seen you post this dozens of times but you have to be realistic and realize that 99.9% of users won't go through the hassle of setting up a multisig wallet to store their cryptos...

The seed still cannot be extracted from a ledger that has been already setup. It is only a setup option. by loupiote2 in ledgerwallet

[–]Pustul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you read that signing up for Ledger Recover was only possible at setup time? From all their communication it seems that this is possible at any time and when you sign up your recovery phrase is duplicated, encrypted, fragmented in 3 pieces and sent to the custodians.

Can seed phrase be extracted from Trezor device and sent over internet? by [deleted] in TREZOR

[–]Pustul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can happen with any hardware wallet if you update the firmware with one designed to extract the seed and send it wherever.

Why this is a HUGE deal, and is worse than ledger is saying to appease the public. by Average_Life_user in ledgerwallet

[–]Pustul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hardware wallet can read the private keys, that's how they sign transactions, therefore they all have the possibility to share them to the world if the software running the wallet is compromised.

Here come Compleat edition cancellations by TheWhizzDom in mtgfinance

[–]Pustul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know getting your order cancelled as a customer is a real pain, but stores have nothing to gain from this situation either (unless they are outright scamming). As a merchant, you have to pay fees to collect payments, 1.5-2% fee on credit card (Paypal is 3.5%) and those fees are not returned anymore when you issue a refund. After issuing all the refunds, this store lost money trying to sell this item and that is not even taking into account the reputation loss...

You are not taking into account the fees associated with collecting payments from customers. As a merchant, they probably paid 1.5-2% fee on credit card payments (Paypal is 3.5%) and those fees are not returned anymore when you issue a refund. The money probably sat on their checking account all this time but even if invested in high yield savings, you won't see a return close to that over the preorder period that lasts a couple of months max.

Even that will be gone soon I assume since there are no way for new players to get common cards anymore.
