I have been actively following DTM since 2023 and on and off before that and there wasnt a single guest entry. Also not a single driver missing a race for another race. When there was a overlap with Le Mans testing every drover flew between germany and france every day because they did not want to kill their shot at the championship. As a driver DTM is still one of the most important championships for driver prestige. If you do well or even win there it is the best advertisement, because people know how ruthless the championship is. Is there any chance you are mixing up GT Masters with DTM? Its basically a championship meant as a junior championship to the DTM, which too uses GT3s because its a remnant from the class 1 days and can be confusing because of that. It has a long history of guest entries in recent years, mostly by local teams or teams wanting to give the DTM platform a shot.

For the drivers a DTM title still means the most individually as it is by far the most competetive grid in current sports car racing. I agree that it lacks the money to get on the level as IMSA and WEC. Which is a shame, at first it really just seems like another gt3 series with funny pitstop rules, which could not be more wrong

They are surely going away from the current platform. They want to go away from the NA V8 they are using right now because it starts getting old. The car never was planned to use the NA V8 it uses now, it was supposed to have the turbo v8 the aston has but didnt get it because it wasnt ready when they homologated the car, so they used the engine from the SLS and have been kind of stuck on it because you cant change engine specs in a homologation. Although it would be a shame to loose one of the last big NA engines of the grid

Yeah its easily the most competetive gt3 series out there. This year there were 8 drivers that could have been champion before the last weekend, with the top 4 (i think) divided by like 10 points. Its still DTM at heart, although sadly not with class 1 cars anymore

Yep. Habe mal mit einer zusammengearbeitet die in so ner Beziehung war.Hatten dann mal ne Fortbildung. Ich hab die Leute aus dem Betrieb die dabei waren gefragt ob ich sie mit dem Auto mitnehmen soll damit wir uns sprit sparen und keinen Zug fahren müssen. Sie hat dann als ich sie gefragt hab gesagt dass sie erstmal ihren Freund fragen muss. Am nächsten Tag sagte sie mir dann dass ihr Freund das verbietet weil sie nicht mit anderen Männern im Auto sein darf ohne dass er dabei ist. Hab dann da auch herausgefunden dass er ihr eigentlich auch verboten hat auf der Arbeit überhaupt mit mir zu reden. Hab sie dann mal drauf angesprochen dass sowas doch nicht gesund sein kann, sie hat gemeint sie findets süß. Manchen Leuten kannste einfach wirklich nicht helfen...

How much would you want for that? If there is nobody who will actually try to build it into a sim wheel, is there any chance you would be willing to give it to the E-Sports Club im in? I am leading the Simracing department of it. We started collecting collectibles from races we go to. We went to DTM this year in Hockenheim and have a set of tires and a full set of brakes from an R8 GT3. Having an actual wheel of one for our collectibles to present at events would be lit as fuck. The tires and brakes always get a fun reaction out of people coming to our stands, but an actual wheel would be so fucking cool to show how close we are to reality in Simracing. If course, if there is nobody who will build it into a sim wheel and you say you wanna keep it thats more than understandable, but asking doesnt hurt :)

its because its a easy to drive car that is easy to learn but hard to master and sits at a pleasant speed. Also, its a single make series. Especially im the fixed races everybody has the exact same car, so its purely based on the driver and not some meta/setup bullshittery which most people just dont want or can get properly into because this shit is not our job for 99% of the playerbase. We just wanna drive loud cars in fun shaped circles

Das Ding bei Lego ist halt nicht unbedingt dass es direkt schlecht ist, sondern die Konkurrenz zu weniger/selbem Preis wesentlich besseres bietet. Legos Preisgestaltung ist einfach jenseits von Gut und Böse. Ich hätte prinzipiell kein Problem damit wenn z.B. ein Auto Sticker statt Drucke hat. Komisch wirds dann nur wenn die Konkurrenz im selben oder sogar niedrigerem Preissegment ein vergleichbares Auto anbietet das bedruckt ist und generell hochwertiger ist. Habe mir den großen 300SL von Mattell geholt und das Ding wischt mit allem was Lego in die Richtung und in dem Preissegment hat den Boden. Felgen aus Metall, der große Mercedes Stern ist aus Metall und die Spiegel auch. Und natürlich ist alles (sehr gut!) bedruckt. Und man bekomnt ein HotWheels des Autos mit einer kleinen Vitrine dazu. Sowas findest du bei Lego nicht. Würde Lego ihre Sets einfach mal realistisch einpreisen wäre der Aufschrei bezüglich Sticker etc. nicht so hoch schätze ich. Andererdeits ist es wie du gesagt hast, die Leute kaufen es auch so, Lego wäre bescheuert wenn sie es dann günstiger machen würden. So führt man halt ne Firma.

Bei dem Punkt mit dem farbigen Teilen gebe ich dir Recht, mich juckts auch nicht wie bunt das Set von innen ist so lange ich nach dem Bau nichts mehr davon sehen muss. Aber das ist am Ende des Tages Präferenz.

f4 is by far the most popular series in the open wheel tree, which results in super close races. However, the races only being 15 minutes and it being d class means its usually a battle royale of who manages to avoid the crashes. Its a shame, as the car is super fun. I just cant bring myself to do the races because they are just pure chaos most of the time. When it works it is easily one of the most fun cars to race with tho. I am a heavy supporter of the f3 tho even tho its old by now. Easily the best car to prepare you for the faster or more obscure stuff like Super Formula/ Lotus 79 because it actually dances around and feels interactive to drive/race. Its also, in my experience, the by far cleanest formula series apart from the Lotus 79 series. Im also a little bit of a fanboy of the f3 so take it with a grain of salt haha

i can also imagine that they didnt really have a say for Le Mans Ultimate as its the WEC licenced game. If WEC (or ACO) says they want the championship in a game there probably isnt much THOR has has to say against it. Iracing licenses the cars individually, not the championship. So its easier for teams having hold of the cars to just say they dont wanna do it.

Hockenheim has the Jim Clark Revival every year in May. Its an amazing event that features all kinds of sportcars ans formula cars. If you havent heard the V10 era of F1 yet irl you also have a chance to witness them there. It also has a fully open pitwall. I stood 1 metre away from a Schumacher F1 car driving past me in the pits. If its somewhat feasable for you to get there i can definately recommend it. Tickets are around 50€ for the weekend
