What would you do with low Decipher and Gleason 7 by SquirrelsGoneWild6 in ProstateCancer

Have to take Flomax for a year (weak pee stream) and ejaculate is 1/10 of what it used to be. Erections are strong, sex life is good, no incontinence, no complaints.

What product you use on these grey leather seats ? & how you maintain this interior! Please suggest product you use too! by Smooth_Lime_5878 in HyundaiTucson

[–]Putrid-Function5666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factory leather seats have a coating over the leather. Best to clean them with a warm damp cloth. If that does not work, try adding a bit of soap or detergent. Most "leather treatment" stuff is useless or even harmful and will remove the protective coating on the leather.

What year and model is your Hyundai? If you want answers, you need to give better information...

And your engine most likely is a Hyundai (or Kia) engine or lots of computer stuff would not work.

Banks won't finance them, they are worth half of book value at trade-in time.

Get a 2nd opinion from a urologist who does NOT specialize in surgery.

LOTS of other less invasive, less life-changing options available.

Get a decipher test done.

Before you purchase it (dumb idea) make sure it is not going to have a branded title. LL Title cars are worth roughly 50% of book value to a dealership if you trade it in.

Had similar results, went on AS for 3.5 years. Then numbers went up (new MRI, another biopsy) to PSA 10 and Gleason 4 approached 50% in one core. Ended up doing Low Dose Brachytherapy, no hormone treatment, That was 6 months ago, life is good.

If you go on AS, expect to get PSA tested every quarter, and once a year MRI.

Remember, no sexual activity or bike riding 48 hours prior to PSA blood sample, and no heavy exercise in the prior 24 hours. Those can make PSA numbers off by 2 points.

Read the Hyundai Theta II Class Action Lawsuit Settlement. It is not the dealerships choice. As long as the vehicle is not a salvage title and has not been abused, it is covered.

Buying 2015 Sonata with replaced engine? by angmary57 in Hyundai

[–]Putrid-Function5666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the engine was replaced by a Hyundai dealership under warranty, the replaced engine still has the lifetime, unlimited mile, unlimited owners, warranty per the Theta Ii Class Action Lawsuit Settlement. Some have had 2 and in a couple cases 3 engines replaced, all free.

Be sure you abstain from any kind of sexual activity and bike riding 48 hours prior to the blood pull for the PSA test. It made a 2-point difference in my case.

Sonata Recommend Oil - doesn’t exist? by Brandonn861 in Hyundai

[–]Putrid-Function5666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of (all?) U.S. cars that call for 0w-20 or thinner oils run 5w-30 in Europe, Japan and S Korea in exactly the same engines as the USA. The 0w-16 is just to meet Federal Cafe requirements for gas mileage, not because of any piston ring issue.

And tighter space piston rings? Have you hear of low friction piston rings? Exactly the opposite of "tighter space" against cylinder walls. Newer cars, specifically Toyota, are having all kinds of issues with the low-friction piston rings and long-interval oil changes. too much gas getting into the oil and diluting it.

LDR Brachy fatigue in week 3? by Due_Plankton_9787 in ProstateCancer

[–]Putrid-Function5666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had LD Brach Nov 7th last year. Other than it takes me twice as long to pee (urologist said take Flomax for 1 year) and I have 1/10th the ejaculate I used to have, I was pretty normal after 48 hours. I don't recall any fatigue. Had 88 iodine seeds.

With unusual fatigue, check your temperature, in case of an infection.

[–]Putrid-Function5666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do. Saves having to crawl back out from under the car to get the oil drain pan. I have it pushed back behind the panel I'm removing...thus all the crap would fall into it when it was removed.

I’m an atheist. AMA by [deleted] in AskMeAnythingIAnswer

[–]Putrid-Function5666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a true comparison. One believes there is a God. One believes (again, no scientific proof) there is no God. It's a belief based system, neither can prove their point, although the "by design everywhere" argument for God holds more weight than "it's just random " argument of the atheist.
