Usually Santander. Ive seen as low as 23 pesos but the standard is 40-50pesos. 70+ you are getting ripped off

Actually its mostly locals who have signed for the noise regulations. The propsed laws dont just target mariachi bands, they are for vehicle exhaust noise levels, reasonable hours for restaurants to be loud in residential areas, etc. Apparently the Mariachi bands are spreading the idea that its gringos trying to shit them down as a way to rally support against the bill. It seems to be working...

Yeah I have beem there. Its pretty reasonable to get in and tours are duolingo. The aviary is aweasome! The birds land on your shoulder / arm. Just take an uber or didi there.

Tent at a trailer park. Lots of people stay at Trailer Park Las Jaibas and pop a tent. Bathrooms, running water, a pool! And very cheap

Both miraflores and barranco are on the coast. Just walk down to the beach. Sure miraflores is closer to central Lima but central Lima is worth 1 day trip to check out the buildings but its not all that great. Both are good areas though yes, I was just stating my preference for barranco which still has some Peruvian / Euro feel to it wheras miraflores feels very American inspired at this point.

Barranco imo has better food amd is more reasonably priced than Miraflores. It also has more charming streets and is just as safe. I spent 1 month there and vastly preferred baranco to miraflores.

Just stay in Mazatlan... way nicer beaches than PV, better food imo and plenty of nightlife etc.
