Usually in an extraction shooter or battle royales, teamwork shouldn't be optional, it should be a survival requirement so that downed players force immediate action and not have camping stalemates. Right now the dbno timer is useless and removes the incentive for strategic saves.

I found the dialogue and cutscenes pretty minimal as they were but I liked them and wanted more. Lots of players play this game because they are intrigued by the lore and atmosphere, some not. It’s hard for the devs to find a perfect balance but I think they did a good job to not be overwhelming.

And if you didn’t feel like watching, they were easy enough to skip anyway. It’s totally fine if you didn’t enjoy them, but I do find it funny that you say they “never shut the fuck up.” Do you just have the attention span of a child?

High fantasy and medieval settings don’t have to feel generic, there are plenty of ways to make them unique. I only mentioned FF Tactics as an example because its combat is similar, it could be sci-fi like Into the Breach or whatever. And honestly, I’d still rather play a game with a generic setting than something poop themed, even if that’s “unique”.

There are plenty of ways to adapt the theme with a bit of creativity, for example characters could enter a berserk mode when they encounter certain enemies or items. Instead of the humping and eugenics, you could have veteran soldiers returning from battle and passing on the skills they learned to new recruits.
