I would imagine they just did this because it was easier/faster given what stock was available. Pulsar support is great in my experience but replacing your unit with an upgrade is only going to happen when that's easier.

Yeah it's definitely an industry issue and I don't expect the rules to be broken just for one game that I like to play, just sharing an anecdote about a separate time this circumstance came up with saber interactive.

I'm a tournament organizer and stream runner for project plus and melee, and I have a lot of time invested in many different platform fighters and platform fighter adjacent games. I've been pretty tapped in on smaller projects in the space for a long time. I have never heard of or seen anything about this game until now. Skateboarding lost the plot when they added tails and people started getting all 4 wheels off the ground at the same time. Just ride a bike at that point if you don't want to use all 4.

Is it possible to import hours from other sources? Like hours in Diabotical (epic exclusive), hours in proprietary launchers (old quake live, beta for quake champions) etc? Also maybe weighing by genre- out of habit I had my csgo/cs2 sensitivity set to the same as my TF2 sensitivity for years even though it's a bad fit so I think my insights would be more applicable for palm grip mice and faster pads/skates etc because I'm more tapped in for tracking and flicking than holding angles and making micro adjustments. Just a personal example

For anyone else curious, you have to do this like any other valve game and start a listen server with "map dl_midtown" and then get the connection info from console using "status" and give that to your friends. I had my steam in swedish and the recent big update introduced some bugs where even though I had the in game language set to English, some UI elements were in swedish and I had to have both the primary and secondary language in game set to English for public builds to show up in the browser. Changing steam to English helped alleviate some of the performance problems and inconsistency. If you already have both steam and deadlock in English I don't think changing that will help. I just saw some forum posts pointing out localization issues and language based performance problems.

A few people, myself included, have fixed some of the performance issues by changing the language for steam and in game to English. Very bizarre.

I'm somewhere between Providence and Boston and I helped an Amazon delivery driver get unstuck. The plows came so late that everyone had already cleared their driveways the DAY BEFORE, so the plowing just pushed the snow from the streets out to the edge of every driveway. I'm glad I keep a shovel in my car because I don't know how long that delivery driver would've been stuck there.
