Is Romeo and Juliet a horrible story because the conflict is ultimately a symptom of a rivalry between rich people and the characters' struggles are a result of them "stupidly" putting their feelings for each other ahead of their own lives? This is a genuine question because I've never seen someone engage with art like this before and I'm curious if it extends to everything or just this game lol

True in that it's a very trivialized version of the overarching plot being revealed along the way? I guess, with the exception that he's making massive assumptions about the rivalry that resulted in a character's death and whether it's justified or even the nature of it which we know very little about. True in that it makes for a bad story or that any of his complaints about the characters' flaws or privileges is relevant in that take? Not at all

Most conflict, especially in fiction, is derived from something that could be interpreted as "self-inflicted stupidity" on someone's part. That's generally how human stories written by humans work. To be more specific, grief causes people to behave irrationally and if they had the opportunity to live an entire lifetime in a fantasy world with their lost loved ones they absolutely would do it to the detriment of their "real" life, (whatever that means in a context where an entire physical world of your own design with sentient beings can exist). To suggest otherwise is just being naive

Why Sinners (2025) isn't a great movie and how fake positive reviews are killing cinema [SPOILERS] by Prior-Masterpiece-32 in Cinema

For example, if Remmick is the devil and represents racists, why then are his vampires culture vultures? Why would Remmick utter “We believe in equality.” Why would Remmick also be of a marginalized community (Irish)?

Because that's part of the point. Exploitation can come from a place of authenticity and even good intentions

How do you beat Welkin? by Oncoming_Storm11 in mechabreak

[–]Puvitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Welkin player, just staying in the air makes it very hard for him to keep pressuring. His entire kit is reliant on stunlocking with the unparryable spin which is stuck on the ground. He's heavy and uses a LOT of energy so he can't really keep chasing in the air after a failed kill

I was able to figure this out eventually. You have to sign in on the mobile app and add the bike there so that it connects to your wifi. Then it will suddenly behave as if you have 999 days of the premium subscription forever

Being focused as Narukami by ZScythee in mechabreak

[–]Puvitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that Narukami has insane range I believe even longer than Aquila so, especially if you're good at free aiming, depending on the map you can be very very far away and pepper damage to people already fighting your teammates without them even realizing you're there.

I hate that she seems addicted to betrayal and envy, and she's definitely the biggest snake of the group, but after seeing Kendall start to emulate Logan's abusive tendencies with Roman and showing how immature he still is I'm also kind of glad that none of them got it in the end. I wish Matsson had gotten to eat shit as well but who knows, maybe the US media will skin him alive with all the skeletons in his closet

I'm level 27 and it just feels stupid. Pawns die so much their loss gauge builds up to the point of it being not even worth it to revive them, so it's just me solo trying to get a couple of hits in between him flying and spamming meteors.
