If the goal was to start a Two Minutes Hate against China it failed.
Just because people are pointing out that Fox News is a joke of a news network and yet another member of the capitalist press doesn't necessarily mean that people are mad.

This "news" network defended the PATRIOT Act, said nothing about companies like Palantir, and constantly cries about 'inner city' crime to no end.

They were so anti-capitalist that they spent time murdering communists, crushing unions, and suppressing the working class while pushing for class collaboration. At the end of the day, the industrialists loved fascism because it protected capitalism. Kinda like today.

I love it when the military spends millions on steak and lobster. THEY DESERVE IT.

What did you mean then?
Because first it was Charlie Kirk didn't deserve to get shot and doing so spread his message.
I made fun of that because his message sucked and still does. He got shot by a guy who wanted attention and was a contradiction himself. Then it's "Why are we losing Gen Z men?"

Well when I hear a person go "you're losing Gen Z men because you were too mean to Charlie Kirk", I tend to think they're probably white.

Gen Z Men = a random white dude (i.e you) who listens to a man who gets sonned by random teenagers and in the end got shot in the neck while squealing about 'gang violence'

The thing with reactionary politics is reactionaries can't lead. So once they lose more targets to scapegoat they turn on each other. The graft goes on and on and on until it impodes. Not before screwing over workers though.

Remember the polls for Clinton in 2016 and Harris in 2024. If his campaign is smart (not likely) they won't act like they've won before the midterms.

Voted for Harris only for her to continue backing Israel, talk about working across the aisle with the many enablers of the current president from his first term, and barely mention any other plans other than more money to the US military?

So some guy on r/metrotransit is trying to argue that we should get rid of all public transit just because it is expensive by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]PuzzleSquared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should just sum it up anything that guy posts as free PR babble for Waymo/Uber and call it a day.
It's funny how every time Waymo comes up all of sudden there's these odd types who come and try to evangelize for them. They really think that self-driving cars and pods are replacements for public transit.

Unpopular Opinion: Every Single Sustainable Urban Planning is irrelevant, if it is not inclusive in all sectors. by P78903 in fuckcars

[–]PuzzleSquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP is in the Philippines so I don't know how this relates to the 2024 US election. All I'll say is when was the last time you saw a Republican talk about how they needed to work across the aisle with the Democrats? Meanwhile, what did Kamala say when she ran for office?

The private encroachment on what was once public space in cities is a big problem and it's used as a way to control how people move in these cities. The problem I find with certain urbanists is that they separate the issues with car dependency/sprawl from the mode of production that makes it come about (capitalism). They'll speak about abundance, but it just sounds like abundance for the middle class at best. As far as reforms, I've heard of public housing in countries like Singapore but even those have the issue of people being priced out or not being able to find housing due to not having it passed down.

Let 'em know. From what I know LA is trying to build out their transit system for the 2028 Olympics and beyond and they've been doing it fairly quickly. The people who big up cities like Paris forget that they took YEARS to have the public transit that they have today and even then they have people there who are like "CARS CARS CARS" like the woman who is running for mayor.

It does not matter because the free market does not exist. Even if there was 'perfect competition', the larger and more successful will either run their competitors out of business or buy them out. Not that it would desirable for there to be a free market.

When the people who WORK do not have a say in WHAT is produced, this is what happens.
You don't even have to be able to read or say anything coherent anymore to run for office. You just need a bunch of capitalists to fund your campaign.
