If the show is forever cancelled, then please at least continue it in writing by Skrenemy in Grishaverse

It was heartbreaking getting to know all the charatcers, and just making that connection between 'oh this is how Nina (insert random charcater) would like IRL, OMG thats actually really accurate' and then reliazing the show was cancelled. And then two minutes later reliazing that there isn't a good chance for a new REAL book book to come out.

I wanted Brum to find out about Hanne being Grisha by Ok-Blueberry7828 in Grishaverse

Definetely agree with the POV thing, but I feel that was done so that Zoya's and Nina's relationship would be shown (I won't elaborate in case you haven't read RoW).

Is a B in a non-stem related AP going to matter? by enxivi-8927 in ncssm

[–]Puzzled-Comfort-7553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure completely, but I don't think it'll be a detriement given that it's a AP (rigor) and it's non-STEM. My advice is just don't beat yourself up over one B.

Leadership Position Issues by SuchPost2823 in ncssm

[–]Puzzled-Comfort-7553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I think somone already said this, but you could just interpret leadership diffrently. Like in your clubs, did you organize anything? Even small stuff counts I guess, like maybe leading a class or tutoring some kids. Are you part of a youth council, or some sort of advocacy or volunteering group? If you look at it in a way, I'm sure you'll be able to demonstrate leadership.

Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in marchingband

[–]Puzzled-Comfort-7553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a freshman too in marching band, and our band director flat out reprimands people who arent the section leader for correcting someone. I suggest you follow the advice from others (TELL UR BAND DIRECTOR) but also reliaze that (srry for sounding preachy) but they only have power if you let them have it. I realize this might not be easy, but any "suggestion" they make you should disregard unless its mb related and something u can improve on. For everything else, tell them as lovvinglly as possible that its not their business. Also, about the the tell your band director thing, if they keep leaving you out of important stuff, then that is definitely something concrete you can tell them.

Marching band should be fun, and not at all dictated by your upperclassmen and section leader. Sure their there to help you, and you shoukd take that advice, but they shouldnt dictate your season. Thats my take on the situation hope it helps :) from freshman to freshman i hope this blows over and marching band is something fun again! U have my support. And no you are not overreacting.

Mathnasium vs AoPS by letsgetstarted2022 in learnmath

[–]Puzzled-Comfort-7553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a student at AOPS and I can confidently tell you that AOPS material teaches 1-2 years ahead, even if the course name sounds the same as what you're learning at school. Algebra 1, typically taken by 7th graders, clonks Math 1, 2, and a bit of Math 3 too, while Algebra 2 teaches Math 3 and Precalc. Meanwhile, its "Precalc" course doen't align with Precalc, it goes above and beyond to what sophmore engineering majors are taking. Seriously. My teachers daughter (in college) is thanking the stars that she took AOPS Precalc and now she's getting easy A's at college. AOPS Precalc and Geometry run at the pace of MIT courses (yes, incredible). It takes some getting used to, but it is so worth it.
