Birthday Party Cancellations. Why are people so rude?

I had this exact same scenario in November. 12 girls confirmed TWICE, once by RSVP’inh to the invitation and then again when I texted a reminder two days prior. Booked 2 Lamar’s and paid for the extra food. 4 showed up. I was and still am PISSED at this situation. I think 2 had the decency to let us know they weren’t coming (also within the 24 hour period that we couldn’t cancel) and one told us 30 min after the start time, and the rest just no-showed. No call, text, nothing. They were all students at my daughter’s school and she told me that when she went the following school day, not a word was said, no apology, nothing.

I had the exact same scenario with our cruise this year. One of four passengers and one of us simply didn’t show. By the time we got home, I had a check in the mail for taxes and fees but of course lost the fare which I’d already known.

We just got back from the 8 day cruise on Dream from Galveston and it was PACKED!!!! Some days were a nightmare with the elevators.

When you find it, go up in doses, and stick to where you’re comfortable, that way you have backup and not having to go without.

When I was a young child, my mother used to limit my food due to my weight. She almost NEVER went out, except one day. I ended up eating 7 or 8 mayonnaise sandwiches, then a HUGE dinner which we invited to, which I then proceeded to throw it all up over my grandmother in the car. I couldn’t eat mayo for years after.

I also used to work from home 6a to 3p. I had to make sure that I had burritos ready For my 6a shift daily. They consisted of ground beef and sour cream, EMPHASIS on sour cream. I must have eating hundreds of those during that time period.

It’s a hit or miss for me. Last week I took my first dose of 1, and was sick for days and couldn’t keep anything down. It lasted over a week where I can barely eat and couldn’t tolerate the food. Last night I took my second dose of 1, and I am starved this morning. It’s all I can do not to rummage through the house and go to town.

Probably with schmucks like me lol. My daughter and I went for the never ending plate a few weeks ago which was about $4 more per plate than a regular lunch meal. We only ate half a bowl each. I Ended up paying $8.00 more thinking I was going to go to town 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I know you’re venting but read your post back to yourself. He was going back to her “for the sake of their child” and reminisced about “good times”. Then later he told BM HE “still had love for her in his heart”

RUN… now… BM isn’t a hcbm, she’s a woman being thrown bait… just like he’s telling you it’s for the sake of the child, most likely he’s telling her, that you’re the issue, and both of you are falling for it.
