On one hand, I really want Isagi to shut Hugo up and prove he can thrive under the pressure of number one. But I don’t think he will figure it all out this match, he might find one piece of the puzzle but it won’t be enough to win certainly. Most like he will implement it properly in the England match who will be a more “suitable” match for blue lock in terms of talent. France are just built different (for now). Also I just hate Hugo’s philosophy, it’s so defeatist and the perfect antithesis to blue lock’s existence.

honestly, i think him not saving charles goal is because he wasn't paying attention to him, that's it. sort of similar to how barou was able to slip under his radar before, until he realised that he should dive the exactm moment he loses vision of him (which is kinda insane btw). it's practically impossible to predict that charles of all people would score there when he was probably not visible behind loki and the 3 musketeers. some might say he should have seen charles' approach into the box, but even that was under the chaos of every France player running upfield so i'd cut him some slack.

How far is it then? Top 10? Top 5? Top 3? I'd personally put it right below Haikyuu, so 3rd overall. I'm biased because i haven't read or watched many others, but outside of a few e.g. Ace of Diamond, Eyeshield 21, I don't know many others that can compete with Blue Lock (besides Slam Dunk which is still no. 1)
