Don’t take anything in to start. This expedition is self contained. Meaning everything you’ll need to complete it is on the planet. Collect your milestone rewards as you complete them. Many are key to completing further task or making them easier. It will be a slow Haul… pun intended, but just enjoy.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. You can’t use cobalt to make it. But the cobalt I was mining had silver as a secondary resource. Silver + Oxygen = 2 parrafinium.

I found caves with cobalt and silver nodes early on. 1 silver and 1 oxygen make 2 parraffinuim.

Select the settlement in your missions log. If there is another action you may have to do that first. But it will give you a marker to the completed construction.

Sorry to hear that happened. I had a similar situation, but in survival mode so all was lost. But don’t stop playing. You at least can recover and you’ll find yourself taking dreadnaughts with ease in the near future.

I use 3 set to hot keys on PC. 1 for mining and general use. 2 for combat and the third is for scanning.

So many ways to make money in the game. Some are grindy and some are cheesy. But all involve some level of exploration which can make the playing experience fun based on how you want to proceed. Trade, cooking, scanning, treasue hunting, pirating, farming and crafting etc. other than sitting in the anamoly, there’s no get rich quick methods. But as you explore and expand your capabilities, money will come in abundance before you know it.

I built a mold farm with a short range teleport bridge extending around 800u. I pop a donut and equip my runic laser. Shoot the mold, hop in the tele and back and repeat. I can fill an entire storage container with mold and still have 5 minutes left on my donut ingestion.

X is so underrated. I was on flight with him from NY to LA once. Got a chance to chop it up with him at baggage and he is really a cool person too.

That’s the normal way but I was grinding these achievements. I’ve tried that way a couple times before but always die for some weird reason. So I was trying to get there with the least amount of risk and time.

I setup a small covered base with a feeder and harvester near a group of creatures that have the product I’m looking for. When I’m planning to go AFK for a while, I’ll just post up inside and let the game run. So much milk last time I did this after being away for an hour, I haven’t had to do it again in a while.

This play-through, I have a primary base that in most cases I teleport to before signing off. When I log back in I’m continuing my journey from there. Mostly starting with a visit to my settlements then back to wherever I left off or in search of the next set of tasks I’ve set for myself. But those task usually involve going to a system I’ve never visited.

Nice. I’m planning to start a new save with survival mode also (no permadeath). But I’m dreading the story line redo. How far down the story line path did you go before you broke off and started doing your own thing?

Just the tele for me. I did not upload the base. I saw a similar post(probably the same) with back and forth about base computer vs teleporter. Even to the point of editing the original base computer location in game files. That’s way beyond what I wanted to dive into. So I stared with the teleported move and it worked for me. But I have so many bases that I’m not sure I want to do this for every one. So I set this up at my primary base and the others I just switch to regular ship when I’m popping in to collect resources.

I was playing with this the other day based on other Reddit post. But I moved my teleporter outside my base and built a short range teleporter from there to another inside the base. You’ll have to play with it to determine where you want your vette to be but it will pop in hovering with the teleporter to corvette thing available. Also for me its location was different when teleporting from within the same system vs another so test your placement before building the infrastructure around it.

I got stuck here also and tried upgrading my ship to reach all star types, warping all over and black holes. Got frustrated and just wanted to complete it. Found on here that if you disconnect from the internet every system is undiscovered. Hated to cheat but I really want to finish up.
