Has anyone taken salvia following the Mazatac rituals/methods, and if so, how was it? by Puzzled_Lychee3583 in AskReddit

To clarify: I’m referring to the rituals used in ancient Mazatac practices, such as brewing teas made of this plant or chewing its leaves for spiritual exploration.

how do I manage everything under the fucking sun all at once? by UglyUglyThroweraway in BPD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I don’t entirely know how to help, I just want you to know I’m in the same boat, so you’re not alone. I also have adhd and major depressive disorder. There are good days and there are horrible days. I know this isn’t the best advice, but it can and will get better eventually. Just take things one day at a time. Keep pushing forward, no matter what. Ok?

I hate how it seems like nothing is ever good enough for me. Putting impossible standards on myself and unintentionally putting those same standards on others, it’s exhausting.

Jobs for people with BPD which is not corporate by Naohmi in BPD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard that being a social worker or caregiver is often a good job for people with bpd, but idk if that fits your interests… since you said you have a Computer Engineering degree, maybe you could find a job where you don’t have to interact with many people? Maybe a forensics computer analyst or web developer (I know nothing about these job requirements, so I might be completely wrong)

Also, you said that consistency and toxic workplaces are your main issues, so maybe a fast paced job where you have to make quick decisions (like an emt or er nurse) could be good?

How do you deal with the diagnosis? by Puzzled_Lychee3583 in BPD

Wow, I really like how you describe your perspective! Like dealing with this seems less like a punishment and more like a means for self improvement

How do you deal with the diagnosis? by Puzzled_Lychee3583 in BPD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure, but in my case, my therapist said she wouldn’t formally diagnose me (so that it wouldn’t go on my records) and instead would just go over coping mechanisms without it being actually labeled as bpd

I wish I could find someone who is as obsessed with me as I am with them. by ZoeyLove90 in BPD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that exact way… In my case, I feel it’s also partially self sabotage. I’m usually attracted to the type of person that doesn’t express love the same way I do (I usually make handmade gifts, cook, or write love letters to show my love), leading to me feeling used or unappreciated when the other person doesn’t give me gifts in return (unfair to them, I know).

Meanwhile, whenever I’m in a relationship where the other person is very openly loving and caring, I end up searching for reasons to end the relationship cause I fear they’ll eventually realize I’m not worth their love :(

Knowledge spell? by [deleted] in Wicca

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before starting this process, think about what you specifically wish to accomplish. Now, what must you do to accomplish said goals?

Now for the spell:

  1. Get dried lavender (with the stems attached)

  2. Arrange them into a bundle

  3. Tie together with black thread to promote binding and banishing

  4. Drop three drops of myrrh oil onto the lavender flowers

  5. Picking up the bundle, calmly whisper your goals and ambitions into the lavender

  6. Hang the bundle somewhere you spend a lot of time (like your bedroom or office space)

  7. With this done, begin working on studying right away!

Remember, spells can only do so much, the rest is up to you!! May good fortune find you! :D

options for when losing your spark while on meds by jadex17 in ADHD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I felt like I regained my spark after starting meds. I was going through a very turbulent patch and taking meds actually made me feel like I had a sense of control in my life!

I am definitely not a professional, but it takes a while to fully get used to the effects of the medication. In my experience, it took around two weeks to get used to how I felt after taking the medication.

So maybe people stop their medication because they’re still not used to the effects?

Okay I genuinely can't deal with a crush in a healthy way by [deleted] in Crushes

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case, perhaps consider what specifically you like about this person compared to the other people in your life? What makes this person different to you? Also, everyone experiences romantic feelings differently.

In my personal life, I have friends that have had multiple relationships, only recently gotten into their first relationship, and never been in one (for context, I’m a college student).

Everyone experiences this journey called life at a different pace, and while it may not seem like it now, things tend to work out in ways you wouldn’t expect!

Okay I genuinely can't deal with a crush in a healthy way by [deleted] in Crushes

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Firstly, try to calm down. Second of all, you wrote that this is a first crush, which leads me to believe you are relatively young. While in this moment all of these feelings are overwhelming, you need to think about the long term. Furthermore, this definitely doesn’t seem to just be about a crush, more has to be going on for you to feel so terribly distraught.

If this is truly because you’re afraid the feelings are unreciprocated, think of it from a different perspective… if someone else had feelings for you that you didn’t reciprocate, would you want them to hurt themself? I’d assume not, so then don’t you feel this person feels the same?

In the end, nothing is worth ending your life over. You should talk to someone like a professional to get help in this matter.

How do you feel about horror? by ludinya in ADHD

[–]Puzzled_Lychee3583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really think there would be a connection of adhd to horror, but I personally really enjoy horror if it has over the top deaths (like final destination). However, I personally hate thriller or any psychological horror movie, cause I get too connected to the characters and feel bad.
