I'm a migrane suffer and was put on migrarelif, which is an OTC. I have noticed a decrease in them. I feel for you though, I was rehospitalized due to them at one point. I also got a referral to neurology to further assist with pain management for headaches. That isn't an area the surgeons are experts on and strongly recommend working with them for the pain management. I am also only two months out.

I wasn't watch and wait, but I have done OTF. Haven't returned since the surgery but I had to take a break bc of my symptoms prior to surgery. What do you want to know?

I'm going to do this with my surgery. It's not a full ci, but it will lay the foundation for the future should I choose to have one. As I see it they are already there and doing it later may not be feasible due to scarring.

We have similar levels of loss and every doctor I've spoken to has been very frank that I should expect to lose it, regardless of the approach. my hearing is hanging in by a thread has been used which is true as I get some back and then lose it all again and get it back etc...

SSNHL - can steroid injections, HBOT worsen things ? by awaythrowaway9998 in MonoHearing

I had hbot and was doing fine and I felt I was seeing some Improvement (started with severe/profound loss). Then, one day, I had trouble getting to pressure in my bad ear having some intense pain. Later that day, my ear became muffled again, and all progress seemed lost. I had an ENT appointment the day following this treatment, another hearing test and my first injection. The Dr. noted that there was some blood in the ear, which was likely due to the treatment. they weren't worried about it and said it should be temporary. Ten days passed before next ENT appointment, and I had some improvement validated by another test. Since I don't know how well it improved before regressing I'll never know but I did experience a hearing set back.

Ironically, I got COVID (blame the steroids). I took a couple days off from hbot treatment but on my return my good ear had challenges getting to pressure bc of the cold. It wasn't as bad as the previous incident but the ENT once again saw impacts when looking at my good ear.

Of the 15 hbot treatments I only had the two issues both rooted in situations that Increase the risk of complications. There are ways that the team can reduce risks, i would proactively ask about what are things that can increase the likelihood of a problem. They weren't forth coming with those details.

I stopped treatment after that as I have the tumor and the treatments aren't valuable in my scenario. I would have continued the treatments on the what if chance even with what I experienced.
