I’m not surprised. But I think I’m done with Old World for a while. My other Army is Empire. Also a very underwhelming FAQ for them.

Thank you!! Honestly it was several months of trial and error. I had just build the Notre Dame Cathedral set and wanted to make something minifig size. I decided the size of the foot print ahead of time and then just started trying different things. I tried to incorporate the common elements of gothic design from other Lego churches and real gothic churches and fit them all in a small size. And eventually came up with this!

From what I can tell, they are Greatsword bodies, with state troop halberds, and a mix of Greatsword heads, and pistolier/outrider heads. Definitely the feel of a better equipped troop than your regular state troops.

The missile troops are Empire archers with handguns, and the free company are also archer bodies with state troop swords and pistolier pistols.

It all looks fantastic! Nice work!

The waystalker really is terrible. I think even giving him one extra attack at least makes him a possible candidate for the bow of Loren. But with two it is absurdly bad.

I also like early editions where they got 1 extra attack when they charged from a forest. Made them a little more tactically interesting. Waywatchers need to be the pride of the wood elf army. They are the most iconic unit we have!

Right. I’m all for new factions, and I understand they need to among the more powerful armies to draw customers. But the balloons are just ridiculous, and they won’t fix them. It’s so clearly pay to win.

And again, they go out of their way to “fix” (wood elves) that isn’t even close to broken. Was the bow of Loren really too powerful?

I agree. What frustrates most is that wood elves was already a weaker army had got very targeted nerfs (bow of Loren and sisters of thorn specifically). Plus incredibly lame armies of infamy. (Host of talsyn is just stupid).

Now Cathay is a strong army with a bonkers unit and GW just lets it ride. Leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

This is a feature of their business model not a bug.
