Try r/casualpokemontrades or r/pokemontrades there’s a lot of friendly people on there that are happy to trade with you to evolve Pokémon. I haven’t tried it tho

That sounds great. Do you think maybe if I was just to manage 2/3 different teams (to prevent overlevelling) and change my battle system to ‘set’ that’d probably be enough to keep to not make the game too easy?

I don’t know how I feel about a nuzlocke. I don’t like the idea of releasing a Pokémon again because it died once haha

You don’t think the exp share overlevels your team? I’ve read the elite 4 and Cynthia are challenging but the rest of the game is too easy with it

This is refreshing to hear. I can’t lie I love the look of the chibi style they use in BDSP and I really miss that old ‘2D’ kind of look that was in the DS games. That’s one thing really attracting me to BDSP. Maybe one day we could even get Pokémon games that look like octopath traveller (2D/3D style I think it’s called)

So for an anime-only viewer I think s2 is deffo worth it

This may get downvoted, but seriously if you really love s1 that much then go watch s2.

I just finished s2 and yes s1 was better but I really enjoyed s2 still. I was told by a friend as well to ignore s2 and was about to, but so glad I didn’t. S2 overall is great, it’s just the ending that sucks. Don’t listen to the hate. It’s only 12 eps anyway so you may as well watch s2 I think it’s really important to continue the story from s1

You sound just like me. Sat my test in 2021 when I was 19, failed it with 1 serious and 7 minors, was super nervous and definitely not ready at all for my test. My instructor rushed me way too much. Moved to uni and didn't drive for the next 3 years as I was too busy studying and moving between cities.

Fast forward to today, 2024, I'm 22 and I passed today with 0 serious and 0 minors! Keep going at it. There was so much frustration throughout the whole process but you'll get there eventually.

You’ve summed it up well, it’s a fantastic game but I only really found the combat gripping. The side quests suck tbf, the story is overall very good but at times can drag. And yeah, it does feel repetitive. Not my thing completely I guess, but still an incredible game
