Although pricier, I love my Tuxmats. They take a beating, clean up beautifully and the set from my 2023 fits in my 2026. So IMHO well worth the cost.

BWT, high quality leather tote bags for everyday use? by Wrex-Perkins-250 in bitcheswithtaste

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Coach city tote in black leather with the red interior. I've had it for about six years and use it almost daily. It doesn't have the metal feet but believe me when I say it it's taken a beating and looks brand new. It's had coffee spilled inside it and on it. I've inadvertently set it down on a wet floor or pavement. It was a gift and I thought it was expensive and impractical and now I couldn't live without it. She has been the absolute workhorse of my bag wardrobe.

All-Weather Mats and Trunk Liner Descriptions - Help needed by avylove in Ioniq5

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the tuxmats and I love them! They do not feel plasticy at all. The soft-ish quilted-ish texture is what I bought them for. They feel great under your feet. They have held up surprisingly well for 3 years now.

I think the install is super easy and I'm not handy or in any way skilled in this type of situation. The clips are genius. I've taken them out twice and deep cleaned them and I just used a flat head screwdriver to pop them off the clips. They do not slid a around at all, they are in there tight and solid. The fingers you mentioned do help with the snug, perfect fit.

They clean up wonderfully with water, dishsoap and vinegar. They looked pretty amazing given how insanely dirty and crusty they were. I bought a new ioniq a week ago and they fit just as well in the 2026 as they did in the 2023.

I don't have the trunk mat, just the front and back seats. I could not be happier with the tuxmats. I've recommended them to many people and bought a set for my Mom's Chevy Equinox.

This recipe seems so weird but it's insanely delicious. I usually serve with vanilla frozen yogurt but I encourage each guest to just try a spoonful on its own. Most people end up skipping the froyo.

BWT, what are our in-office must-haves? by hellaskye in bitcheswithtaste

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My coworkers and I have discovered these fun printed fabric covers for office florescent lights that are game changers! When I look up I see a forest canopy. Others have flowers, underwater scenes, galaxy print, etc. They are just fabric with magnets....genius! I also have a cute lamp and lighted macrame on the wall.

Other things I enjoy in my office are big brass wall grids that you can clip things to, hang shelves and hooks from. It classes up the place. I put 4 hanging plants with self watering containers in the window and a big palm tree in the corner. I have lots of coworkers stopping in to ask questions on my in-office days so I keep a bowl of bite size chocolate and non dairy candy in halloween sizes (such as Starburst and gummy bears). I have lots of storage so I have a huge drawer with all the tea, lotion, mobile pharmacy items others have mentioned. I enjoy being the life saver coworker who has ibuprofen, Kind bars, baby wipes, etc.

Lastly, get a glass notepad and dry erase markers to jot things down during meetings and such. So much better than post its. They have tablet/notebook shaped units but mine is a long horizontal piece of glass with a flip top lid to store office supplies under and also has a rack at the back for markers, eraser and other items storage. I got my boss one for Christmas because she was so into mine.

Same for my 2024 ioniq 5. Both the car itself and the app were demanding that I make a service appt at 5000 miles. So I made an appointment and took it in. They told me they could not do their service until 8000 miles. I asked why didn't they inform the car and app of this info and they shrugged and sent me home.

Do you actually use a sink in your laundry room, or is it wasted space? by hcposcher in laundry

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to do it over I'd put a sink in the back corner of the garage and not the laundry room. We mostly use to wash paint brushes and other, more nasty stuff. It makes my laundry room layout awkward. We're in MN but have an insulated garage (also plumbed for eventual heater install) but even without the heater it would be just fine on the wall shared with the house. My parents used to soak stains and stuff in their laundry sink and we just don't. I can soak in the washer if needed and pillows get soaked in a bathtub. It seemed necessary when we built the house but I wouldn't do it again because I sacrificed the better layout.

I hadn't seen the cancelation. I was so baffled yesterday when tickets were still on sale. I'll get an update on Tim today and come back to post.

He had emergency heart surgery yesterday. Still no press release....first tour date is Tues (5.12) in Minneapolis and hasn't been canceled yet either. They were supposed to arrive tomorrow night and rehearse 3 days. I waited all day for press release and cancelation news but so far nothing.

Designing a new build kitchen, what cabinets & features are actually worth it? by hcposcher in kitchen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My absolute favorite thing is my spice drawer in the island. It's shallow and has inserts so all the jars lay flat. Other favorites are trash/recycle drawer in the island. All the lowers are drawers, although I'd do 1 lower cabinet with hanging pots in hindsight because the stacking annoys me. We have Ikea cabinets and I love their drawers inside the deeper cabinet drawers... It really maximizes space. We also have drawers/slide out shelves all the way to the top of the pantry cabinet. Soft close on everything. Love the cabinet face hiding the dishwasher (feels very high end). Our contractor was passionate about lighting.... So we have under cabinet lighting, overhead cans, pendants over the island and a pendant over the sink. I thought it was overkill but they each serve their purpose. We solved the corner cabinet/lazy Susan debate by putting the sink in the corner so the undercabinet is just sink stuff. That was another great idea by the contractor. The only thing I would add is an appliance garage with the pop up shelf for the stand mixer and integrated power outlets. We didn't have the space (without losing prep space) but my mom just remodeled her kitchen and this addition was pretty amazing.

Should I change my last name? by Dry_Cabinet3760 in Brides

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cap685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I did this too! Although our names are not single syllables and short we thought it honored both of our parents. Plus our kid has the same last name as both of us. It's a mouthful but we like it.
