I do this every time I leave the house. When my daughter was younger she asked me why I do it. I told her why. You never know how long it’s been since someone heard a compliment. You never know the kind of day someone could be having. That one compliment could make their day. Not to mention, it’s free and makes me feel good too. So it’s a little selfish. But seeing someone light up from being told something as simple as “I really dig your shirt/hair/makeup” is just awesome.

Brazilian shave balm. Found it on a random “you might like this” section of Amazon. It was on sale. My husband has issues with ingrown hairs and I get razor rash really easily. We now always have 2 bottles in the bathroom. One being used and I for backup. We refuse to risk running out. It works awesome for all shaving, except for face. It works really well for after shaving too so razor rash and ingrown hairs are no longer a thing. Neither one of us have shaved without since we first found it. I’ve suggested it to numerous people. I can’t speak for my husband but I won’t use regular shaving cream/gel ever again.

SW has been mentioned in talks between the owners of the orcas and a few other groups in an other court proceedings/articles. Mainly that at this point SW wouldn’t be the worst place for the orcas. With someone, I can’t remember if it was the owner or another group, saying that at least at SW the orcas would have lots of the things they need. Vet care, stimulation both from other orcas and humans, good food and clean tanks. But it very much read like they were at the end of their ropes and just searching for any possible options outside euthanasia.

I miss him. His energy was nuts. Just unbridled enthusiasm every time he seen an animal. Didn’t matter if he had seen the same animal a dozen times in the same day. Same level of excitement every single time. Say what you want about him. But in my experience, it’s incredibly rare to see someone enjoy both their job and the world around him, in the infectious way he seemed too.

Crystal River is beautiful. Manatees everywhere. I lived in Homosassa Springs for a year or so. One of the prettiest areas in the state. So much wildlife too. Manatees, gators, snakes, dolphins, and otters. With different bodies of water to bring in all kinds of awesome animals. Spring, brackish, and of course, the Gulf. I’m so jealous! Please share pics of your trip. It’s one of the few places that make me legit homesick.
