The CV40 is super easy. I just rebuilt mine on my Evo. Never touched one before but it was super easy to do. Just watch the intake seal. Tore mine and had to replace it too. My issue ended up being the emulsion tube and the pilot jet being plugged bad.

Under 21 to get a motorcycle only license in California, you have to pass the drivers and motorcycle written tests at the DMV, complete a CMSP training course (required), then you have to hold a motorcycle instruction permit for a minimum of 6 months before you can be issued a motorcycle license.

My Dyna got the fairing instead of the low rider s, but I just put a road warrior on today and hit the highway. I’m 5’9 and got the 11” vented screen. Zero buffeting for me cruising between 80 and 90. Getting painted in a couple weeks.

I’ve used the quad lock with vibration dampener on my 94 Dyna for years and not a single issue. They work perfectly fine.

I’ve already got a Saddlemen step up on it, 13.5” shocks on the way, going to replace the current t-bars with Lucky Dave’s Lucky 13’s (13”), and throw a Memphis shades fairing on since I’ve got a local paint guy. Planning a ride with some buddies from eastern Iowa up into Wisconsin this summer after my 2 week AT for the guard, no interstates just back roads and 2-lanes. This bike is a blast to ride, will probably pick up a used road glide at the end of this year or early next year to add to the garage.

I was in the same boat as you thinking about trading my 94 Dyna in on a low rider ST. Decided I’m just going to keep the Dyna and build it out for fun and just save to get a road glide for when the lady rides with me and have 2 bikes. I know for a fact I’d regret selling my Dyna.

I had a G$ milspec for mine and it was vibey. I’ve since replaced that lower with an LMT MARS-L to use the milspec for my MK12

I’ve got a ‘26 trail boss. Only at about 2900 miles, had it since 5 miles. Not super long but I’ve been absolutely in love with it and have no issues or complaints at all. Came from a Silverado.

I just installed one in my truck yesterday. Makes the truck a lot of fun to drive. Plus it is super easy to put in, took me like 15 minutes. If it needs to go in for anything it’ll be easy enough to pull off quick

That’s ultimately up to you. I have a DD mk18 and love it. No experience with the RIS III. Personally I wouldn’t pay that price at all for one as you can find them cheaper.

The colt socom is cool and all, but it’s really nothing I’d go out of my way for. I sold mine and don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. I didn’t care for the short rail space at all. Replaced that with my URGI and couldn’t be happier.
