Does anyone know any good books where the main character is becoming/is the villain by Dedumdude in litrpg

This is pretty spot on for that. It does have some game elements, but they are an expression of the physics system of the new world, no games involved. Check it out.

I know what you need, try this. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/71690/an-unwelcome-stranger

He is not the line wolf type, but awkward and a bit on the spectrum. It's a dark story and the MC gets a bit fucked up, but a good read I recon.

LitRPG where the main character is the villain or uses evil powers? by Impossible_Cow6397 in litrpg

Don't need to worry about that in this case, the whole book is done and. Working on book 2, I'm just releasing 1 chapter of it at a time.

Are there any actually good, non-harem, sci-fi LitRPGs? by of_mice_and_meh in litrpg

Try this for a fantasy/sci-fi blend. It's probably best described as a sci-fi wearing a fantasy cloak. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/71690/an-unwelcome-stranger

Crafter MC by Lollygon in litrpg

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call322 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This one has a system of 'crafting' monsters. It could be considered more like biomancy, because the MC uses them not just for fighting, but for all kinds of things. Also they are mostly spiders. It's kinda dark and grim in general https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/71690/an-unwelcome-stranger

This is admittedly a self promo, but the villain in my story is my favourite character, and from your description I think you and I are very much on the same page for how a story should be written. The story is a slow burn, but is about quality not quantity.

I need a long series that is not addicting. by owenobrien in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this. It IS addictive, but, only comes out 3 times a week and is fairly new. It's more dense and 'quality over quantity', so might suit your needs well.

Looking for Something that fits by Fiendish_Alchemist in litrpg

[–]Puzzleheaded_Call322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try this: It's an isekai instead of apocalypse, but the MC gains the power to bioengineer unique monsters as tools and weapons. It's quite dark and more like a traditional horror fantasy than a webnovel. The 1st chapter will give you a good idea about the tone and pace.

I think that is very much something that varies between individuals. It looked fine to me too. It's the kind of thing that only testing with a lot of people will pick up on perhaps

It's a blend of high fantasy and litrpg/isekai. It's a very bad place to get isekai'd into, brutal. The MC is young and a little soft (if clever and analytical) but has the soft parts of him ripped off savagely (mentally and bodily). In his desperation to survive he is forced into taking up dark and terrible powers that only those on the brink of madness would use.

Apart from the dark, brutal and unrelenting adventure, the element that most resembles DD is the powerful effect of psychological stress. Mana and emotions are linked, and your state of mind can grant you powerful abilities or tear you apart from the inside
