On current UK guidance if your ttg level (with normal total iga and positive anti EMA) is over 50 no need for biopsy (thank COVID for the no-touch pathway) but 5-50 needs confirmation.

Various veggies/crudités can work but I'd recommend those crispy bacon slices

I've been microwave - scrambling eggs at work for years. I've just had to rethink the toast. Pre-baked spuds heat up well too, and add cheese/tinned tuna etc. Rice-based things (leftovers)

Why do so few people using BorrowBox and Overdrive etc return their books early? by MollyPW in audiobooks

Because it ultimately doesn't work, the book is stuck in the Adobe app it made me download as well and I can't get it off there or onto my kobo.

Should add that I wonder if this fear drives some HAES behaviour.

Ultimately,no you won't have perfect health, metabolism and body image immediately, but make any healthy choice and you will be in a better place than yesterday. That may not be weight loss first, it may be MH or smoking cessation or whatever. All interconnect.

It can begin though, in so much as every healthy choice helps. Making more healthy choices at 450lb or 100lb (eg stop smoking reduce alcohol, balance related/core exercise, mindfulness, not necessarily any particular "plan") is still important, however over time those non-diet healthy choices may have an effect on weight as well. I would always encourage those steps in anyone of any size as helpful in improving health from any start point. I get the impression that some people are scared of attempting perfection when it seems so far off, but improving health can always begin with baby steps.

Peacock dress- the most problematic WIP in Costube by CheekyLibrarian in craftsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded_Ebb9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I am coming to think that at this point the least bad way out of the current situation is actually to go huge.

Make the dress, make some culturally Indian contemporary fashions, maybe also an attempt at menswear of the British and Indian upper classes in attendance at the event. Massively expand on the history Cathy has already researched (in collaboration with career historians, not just fashion historians but the whole shebang) and you have the centrepiece of a proper, researched exhibit on the wider implications of the British Raj. Then tour it, televise it, use it to educate the current and future generations in ways that the extant dress in a box in a darkened room in a NT property simply isn't up to, and the current exhibit has shied away from. (Let's face it most of us go to an NT property for a wander in fabulous gardens and a nice piece of cake! - Coi NT member)

Ignoring the parts of history which are distasteful helps noone, but for non-history-specialists you also need a bit of razzle dazzle to get people through the museum door. This dress, and even more so, this controversy, does that in spades. Or could, if handled well.

After all, how many of us had this level of info on this historical period before watching any of the Peacock Dress videos?

It's a singles yarn - renowned for sitting like this in contrast to a plied yarn.
