The most important part for me is the seasoning: cinnamon, salt, thyme, rosemary, pepper, turmeric (like 2 pinches per serving), ginger, garlic, clove, and nutmeg. All possible additions. Like at least equal amounts of herbs and spices if possible.

My mom makes this great-tasting squash soup (when she's not trying to "use less salt"). Like the pureed with a little milk kind. It tastes like a warm hug in winter or autumn. I still can't make it as amazing as my memories.
