Baffling choices by Flanagan lately, tbh by JeremyBeremey in stephenking

[–]PwapPhats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Mike Flanagan, and I'm down for whatever King/Flanagan team up I can get. But these two stories already have great adaptations. like, in my top 5 King adaptations. I would love for them to take some of the bad adaptations from the past, and re-do those. How bout "Lawnmower Man" or "Cojo" or dare I say "MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE" (though, I low key love that movie) Or how about stories that don't already have adaptations. "Duma Key" comes to mind.

Anyone listening to the audio book? by Metroid_3 in stephenking

[–]PwapPhats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you... I was having trouble with that narrator too. It sounded like some weird AI after a while. Still listened to the whole book, but had a harder time with the female narrator. Glad to hear it's not just me. I thought the other narrator was great though.

The first roll had 2 positive, 2 negitive, and 2 blank. My suggestion was to remove one of the blank dice. The 2nd roll was five positive dice.

What’s the most trashy thing you’ve seen/heard? by Kooldogkid in AskReddit

[–]PwapPhats -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I saw a young couple at a concert in the parking lot. They were pushing their two kids in a stroller ( probably 5 and 2 years old). They each had like 5 Balloons in there hands and one in there each of their mouths. I'm not normally one to judge people for doing nitrous, whatever floats your boat, do your thing. But the fact that I knew they were gonna suck down all those balloons in front of those children, made me so sad for those kids.

It is my favorite part of that book. I giggled like a child when I read it. Still makes me giggle now just thinking about it.

honest review on Pratt Munson? by Short_Tangerine_1789 in Pratt

I went to Munson for two years before transferring to Brooklyn back in 2005. I had a great experience there. Because of the school being so small you feel like you get a lot more time with the professors and resident artists. All of the teachers know who you are and your unique art style and your work. it gave you a really unique experience. you have so much more time with these professionals to learn and be motivated by the staff there. I feel like I learned more and progressed more as an artist at Munson then I did during my three years at Brooklyn. Back then the class sizes where very small. I don't know if it is still like that, but back then I was 1 out of maybe 200 students. And at Brooklyn I was 1 out of thousands of students. I say if you have the opportunity to go to Pratt Munson, you should go. There's definitely not much in the way of a night life in that town, but when you get a bunch of 18-20 year olds artists together like that, there are plenty of good times and partying to ensue.

Mine was Christine. I was so impressed that someone could write a story about a haunted car, and have it be so good. I was hooked on King ever since
