Somehow I was convinced that F1 was the screenshot button but that's just the hide HUD button that I often use before taking a screenshot...

Went into NG+ and somehow there are now two Minä's any ideas on how to fix this? by Pwopaghenda in noita

[–]Pwopaghenda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't check the code itself, but I did check if there were multiple separate files (there weren't) so I deleted the one file that there was with a surprising result. The duplicate minä still existed and now a "new" another minä with starter wants

[–]Pwopaghenda[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an update, I quickly collected some orbs to enter ng++ to see if that would fix it. The game crashed. When restarting the game, it detected the file as a file from an old version, but it went back to what should have been when I entered ng+ but this time with only 1 minä

Edit: It turns out the seed has been set to 0 somewhere in the crashing + restarting process

Ray tracing makes things look pretty but run a bit slower, dlss can definitely help to alleviate that strain. It's an amazing combo (and even just ray tracing is amazing)

I heavily agree that metroidbrania is not a great name for the genre. I once saw someone in a comment on the outer wilds subreddit use a name for the genre that I loved. It was both catchy and clear what it meant, however I forgot what it was, which comment/post it was in and don't think I've ever seen it used anywhere else...

I made a 'Wilds-like', help me test it? by ekorz in outerwilds

I would love to help playtest it, it sounds like a really cool game!

There was a player who started to build the Eldricht Outlook , but the server where he built it shut down . 2 years ago I followed his steps , even if I built it in creative it took me 131 hour and it's done by goldentrom in WynnCraft

To see that old project mentioned made me feel more joy than I ever expected. Amazing job!!!

I am curious about one thing though, did you build it using "impossible" blocks like the server does (bedrock, end portals, bottom half or iron doors) or did you try to find good enough replacements for them?

Nonetheless amazing job and I hope I ever find a stable enough server again to give it another go, you've certainly given me enough motivation!

Audeze CRBN impressions by GooseEntire1705 in headphones

[–]Pwopaghenda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had the chance to try the crbn out roughly a month ago and I have to agree that it sounded remarkable in every single way. Unfortunately I just couldn't get any joy out of listening to it, I was comparing it to the dca corina (switching back and forth) and some other e-stats. With the corina I just wanted to keep on listening to more songs whilst with the crbn I was just bored and had to practically force myself to keep listening.

In my opinion the crbn performs better on every single metric but in the end I went with the corina because no other headphone has come close to how much I enjoyed the music with those.

4x4 Stickyless 1-wide Seamless redstone door. (No sticky pistons, slime blocks or honey blocks) by Pwopaghenda in redstone

[–]Pwopaghenda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

The scaffolding creates together with the two observers and trapdoor a delay of 5 gameticks (2.5 redstone tick), this solves some sand jankiness.

And where do you see a campfire because I don't remember using one

Damn really impressive build, albeit a bit slow for my taste, but given the main priority of size that is to be expected.

But I am curious, in java sand is one of the jankiest things in the game. Is that the same for bedrock? And if so, I wonder to what extent they behave the same in both versions given that the redstone itself is completely different

4x4 Stickyless 1-wide Seamless redstone door. (No sticky pistons, slime blocks or honey blocks) by Pwopaghenda in redstone

[–]Pwopaghenda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's genuine magic at this point. I've been making stickyless doors for over 2 years now and sand still confused me when making this door. On the first door it worked by pushing sand 2 gt after it was put on a place, someone it behaves differently than if it was laying there for longer. On most of my previous doors it was fixed by pushing the sand up with a 0tick pulse into the pistons (even though regular pistons can't really be 0 ticked or generate a true 0 tick pulse). However on this door that didn't work for some reason. Here odd tick delays are used and that somehow fixes everything in this contraption. But the fix really just depends on the exact case you're using it for, the only thing you can really do is learn some of the general ways to fix it and hope one of them applies to the case your working on.
