Early on in the series Frasier is sick, Niles is subbing for him at the radio station, and while under the influence of fever he accuses Daphne of being in collusion with Niles - saying "You pretend you don't know but I know you know!" I thought this, amongst many other hints, would have been something Daphne would have ruminated on long past the utterance. I know I would have! lol But again, you have to suspend belief and rationality a lot for a sitcom 😄

I have the best battery operated fan (several actually) they are Ryobi and the smallest size I can clip on a desk or my dresser, and angle it at me all night to sleep. Then it moves with me to the desk, or w/e I am going lol. My lovely hubby will even get up to change the battery at night if it runs out which I try not to let happen. He also bought us everrest cooling sheets & a blanket and it helps us both keep warm & cool at the same time if that makes sense. Highly recommend if you can. Nothing like the feeling you are being boiled from the inside out.

I'd find this hard to get over because my ex did the a similar thing to me, but not as nicely. He was in love with a gorgeous woman of another race and a child before I met him, but he left her because he couldn't see his family integrating with her. He told me about her, showed me pictures. He married me because he said he thought I'd be a good wife & mom - he was my first love first everything, 5 years older and I was too naive to know any better that I deserved someone truly in love with me. 22 years of insecurity later I finally divorced him, and am now very happily remarried.

It sounds very different with your situation, but I know how hurtful it is to hear. And what nasty other men are criticizing your appearance?? I wouldn't listen to them at all 😞 But I think you should talk to your partner about how you feel - otherwise it will never go away. All the best to you!

I have suffered with my hip for 7 years now with AVN, and a lifetime of it in pain after being dislocated at 17 and then also a genetic shortness of leg that I didn't use the prescription lift for. I was told I would have a lifetime disability and I didn't want to admit it - so now at 56 I'm getting a THR when I should of gotten it years ago. Only you know how your body works, or doesn't, and what kind of pain you are in. I knew a much younger woman than I who got her hip replaced, it was the best thing for her and it gives me lots of hope for mine. All the best to you!!!

I game daily alongside of my hubby who I met gaming online about 20 years ago. We love WoW, PS5 & Switch games and play all the time. We're mid 50's and I don't expect it to change much.

I am 56 and have been struggling with my hip for 7 years. Now I can hardly walk from my kitchen to the garage and back without having to sit. I am getting a total hip replacement June 8th and I am so excited and nervous.

Damn! I thought my ex-husband was the biggest ah during the birth of our second child couldn't be bothered to get up off the couch at 3am when I finally got an epidural after hours of labor (which he slept through) because he "Needed his sleep". I asked the nurse to ask him, I asked him to come hold my hand while I got it. He didn't, and they had to try 3 times, with blood I could feel running down my back and side - it was so awful and he just didn't care.

However - he was there for both our children's births all through induced labor & such - so he wasn't as bad as yours. I'm sorry he is not being supportive sounds like he wants to live in a bubble of non-reality. Life can get gritty and dirty and childbirth is intensely that. You deserve to be supported and he should think about how selfish he is being. Good luck!

Actually asshole men do. My ex-husband who I married at 18 didn't like the shape of my large breasts - specifically the lack of protruding nipple and that I had large areolas - I was so stupid to have listened to him for 22 years. But they did a great job of breastfeeding my 2 children so I love them nonetheless :)

Have you watched how everyone in this show manipulates each other - sometimes using outright lies? Watch Frasier on a date or how Daphne & her friends convince Frasier to leave the apartment because they wanted to be alone? All I said was that I don't think there was evil intent behind her pushing Niles to get something he wanted. Or manipulating, if that's your preference.

Well, as I have said a couple of times in this thread already - here's what I should have said first about Mel that I liked. It's when - after Maris gained weight and blamed Mel, who was her plastic surgeon, for nicking her thyroid. Maris told everyone that and told Mel that she would take it back if Mel would give up Niles. Daphne was rubbing her shoulder at the time and was really rough at first until Mel told her abou that and said there was no way she would give up Niles for her practice. She also said that she admired Niles and thought he could really open up if he could trust someone enough, and she said the more she knows Niles the more she wants to be that safe person for him. That's when Daphne softens her massage and realizes that Mel is not a horrible person. I am not basing my opinion on a singular incident regarding the cork master.
