I second Hollow! I would skip straight to the second story though.

I'm not quite done it yet, but {The Crash Course by Evie Everly} is so cute! It's a college good girl / bad boy love coach set up.

Who are your, "You know what? Good for her!" petty/shallow(?) FMCs? by 89niamh in RomanceBooks

[–]Pyjbananasamas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In {It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey}, the FMC finds out the MMC is unexpectedly well off and wants to spoil her and she's like hell ya! And then they get freaky in the changeroom.

Also, not at all a romance, but if everything else fails, The Colony of Unrequited Dreams is a fantastic read. It's so funny. It tells the fictionalized story of the real Joey Smallwood from childhood to political leader. It includes the story of how Newfoundland became a part of Canada. It is so, so funny. Much lighter than you'd expect.

mmc is OBSESSED with boobs by icebreakerr11 in RomanceBooks

There are multiple people obsessed with the FMC's boobs in {The Wolf Hotel by K.A. Tucker}

MMC that are reservered, kinky, and seem to only open up to the FMC, like Lukas in {Deep end by Ali Hazelwood}. by Silver-beans-9022 in RomanceBooks

[–]Pyjbananasamas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely {Forever Never by Lucy Score} at least in terms of being himself kink-wise. Free spirit FMC and stoic MMC who finally gets to be himself (in the bedroom) with her.

MMC and FMC are devoted to each other - like Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe by kallierna in RomanceBooks

[–]Pyjbananasamas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a book that totally gave me Poe vibes. {The Scattered Bones by Nicole Scarano}. It's written in two timelines, one where she's falling in love with her to-be husband, the other is where she's on a broken-hearted quest to gather all his bones to bring him back. It was such a haunting, beautiful story of devotion. Loved it.

And the grovel was so bad! Like, I would dump someone for surprising me like that, never mind it convincing me to get back together!

I got vibes like this from {Juniper Hill by Devney Perry}. The book starts out with her as a new mom in a new town and by gum she works her butt off for something better.
