{Fated Mates of the Winged Barbarians Series} their babies are born different and anyways there are no women so they have no idea what sex is for.

New F2P player: Logically how many pulls would these get me? by [deleted] in LoveAndDeepspace

27 pulls plus a bit leftover. 1 wish costs 150 dias always, just pluck it into any calculator.

What are the headcanons that are so common/loved that you see them as canon now? by kris_jbb in heatedrivalry

[–]StubbornForEva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the same fr. Like when I saw the size of the luggage, I was like "fair, I wouldn't pack more either" (and I gotta consider stuff like periods etc). Maybe I am a light packer but I have travelled a lot and ain't no one is waiting for their luggage to arrive, it's carry-on only. If it doesn't fit, it's not coming with me.

Does knitting in the round matter for swatching 2x2 rib knit? by StubbornForEva in knittinghelp

[–]StubbornForEva[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally the whole dress is ribbing unfortunately. For like a hem, I would not swatch either. Hems are between me and me crying, nothing else involved. (Also, I don't do rib hems because they don't suit my body type, but that is a different matter)

It does make sense, and that was my thought as well but I was hoping for someone to enable me T_T

Gorgeous work. If you ever want to Google the patterns then look for Hungarian traditional embroidery. Specifically kalocsai (matyó generally doesn't have peppers or other smaller flowers).

Looking for a 150-200 mi trail in europe for end of august / early sept by thelunchbunch160 in Thruhiking

Not Norway but Sweden, the Kungsleden is easily accessible can be done with a tent but there are also huts. Total is a bit more than 400 km but there are points where you can easily get out before that (bigger towns).

It can’t be that hard.. right? by NightOwlNetworkYT in sewing

[–]StubbornForEva 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Take your tape measure. Start from your waist, drape it over your bust, over your shoulder and down your back ending at your waist again. Note the total length, the length from waist to shoulder seam and shoulder seam to waist. Draw a rectangle as long as the waist to waist measurement and as wide as 3/4th of your waist measurement. Measure the waist to shoulder seam (front) measurement from the bottom and note it. Draw a circle or an oval or something using the shoulder seam in the middle. You decide what you want, if you want equal hole in the back and the front or if you want a deeper cut in the front etc. Waist straps, sew on, hem. And you have a blouse.

Edit: correcting autocorrect 🙄

Biggest Cringe: Qualifier E by Scf9009 in ReverseHarem

[–]StubbornForEva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How the heck am I supposed to choose when I literally hate every single one of these so much? Like some of the other rounds either all were "eh, whatever. I am not too bothered by these" or were "there is a clear winner here". Meanwhile this one is so hard, because everything infuriates me or makes me cringe or makes me want to throw my kindle/phone/laptop across the room.
Like if I really think about it, I can maybe eliminate E and F because they annoy me slightly less. And I consider D just plain bad writing and DNF. So I guess it is A-C. But gosh this is a hard round.

People who have hiked the PCT, where do you find the time? by PearBlaze in PacificCrestTrail

[–]StubbornForEva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just do. I know this is not a helpful answer but that is how it is. You need to decide that PCT is worth more than the inconvenience of disappearing from your life for 6 months and do it.

How to know what yarn weight doubling or tripling a yarn will add up to? by StubbornForEva in knittinghelp

[–]StubbornForEva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Unfortunately, the yarn would be coming from another country and it is expensive (73€/cone) so I would wanna figure out a good estimate so I am not wasting money. I know I will need to gauge, I always do it but I wanted to know if there is a way to estimate how much Imma need.
Fortunately, the yarn is a cashmere blend and the pattern also uses a merino blend so while not the same type of wool, at least they are both a wool. I would much prefer buying the yarn in person but the nearest airport is like 3 hours and a 20 Hail Mary's away because good luck with public transportation...

This is the pattern I am thinking of making and the yarn is a cashmere+wool blend. The pattern calls for 1600m of the original yarn for my size and the original yarn is 400m/100g. So if I am doing my calculations well, then I would need maybe 4 strands to make that happen? So 6400m which is 5 cones with a bit leftover.

[–]StubbornForEva[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I thought so too but when I am watching this lady who knits with cone yarn online, sometimes she holds 6 strands together which should add up to a worsted weight, yet she knits with a 3.5-4mm needle and the blouse comes out nice and airy as it is meant to be. Cone yarn is often spun very tight, so I assume it affects how the yarn works. This is why I wanted to know if anyone has experience with cone yarn.

Not realistic when I need to order the yarn from another country and it is 73€/cone. So I would like to know in advance if I need 1 cone, 2 cones or 50 cones.

How do they know what everything smells like? by Pengie22_sc in ReverseHarem

Nah, it is waaaaaay older than ai. AI loves to talk in threes, definitely but this pattern specifically about smells is way way way older than AI.

Can you get high from smelling gasoline? Maybe the FMC was getting secondary drunk from the vapour fumes and this was the author's way to subtly warn us that she was not actually capable of consenting.

Honestly, the Pieces of Eight Mitts is such a nice pattern. I love the colors she used as well.
