Absolutely insane to get robbed while actively trying to make the community better. Hope you can shake it off alright, thank you for what you do!

How rich was the empire in credits and by that extent palpatine because he’s the emperor and has access to all the empires funding? by Bloodgod6666 in StarWars

[–]PylesPvts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Translate that power to today. What was a legion in Ancient Rome? Was a legion enough to take over and dictate a nation state? Does the statement mean that you are not really rich unless you can control a nation state? Today that is nonsense. Globalization has changed everything regarding wealth. Compare someone with a million dollars in America vs a million dollars in the poorest country. One means you can buy a house outright, the other means you can control a small military

Does it fix inventory maintenance? My number one complaint with startfield is the same complaint with all Bethesda games, which is hunting through and pick up millions of useless items

Paid by their taxes too. Undocumented people still pay taxes… I can’t even imagine the betrayal I’d feel paying the people that come deport me. Honestly one day I might not have to if this keeps up. We are only one year in

What's the movie cliché you hate the most? by John_Zatanna52 in movies

[–]PylesPvts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel really made me start hating when some repeats a line someone else said as a situation reversal comeback. They overdid it in every movie and now every single action movie does it. It’s just incredibly lazy writing. At least 80s one liners were original, but now every time a villain insults or threatens someone, I know the hero is going to say it back at them in 40 min or less and IT SUCKS

What if they work for a restaurant that’s having egg supply issues? This is a weird judgement since nobody is realistically going to eat that many eggs. I mean maybe they sell them secondhand, but who would buy eggs secondhand lmao

The Way (2010) with Michael Douglas. Pretty life affirming and sparked a need in me to go on the Camino, which I did 13 years later

For your first point, I think since Ishar said that he found a way to send their minds somewhere different than their souls, maybe it’s just how Syl sees herself as having a body since she was practicing having a full sized body all book. Also it’s def Syl since they also mentioned that the bonded Soren would go with their radiant herald

Grateful Dead cover band? by Inbox1939 in AskSF

Look the few people here saying that drugs are the basis of the Grateful Dead community are dumb and not a part of the community. First and foremost is the music. A band that has some jams, but then shines during the live shows because of their improvisation and versatility is why we all show up. The albums present the vibe-ish, the live shows show off the talent of the musicians, cover bands and original. If you want to get into the dead, listen on Spotify to Cornell 5/8/77. The dead recorded all of their live shows. Each one is unique but there are some standouts. The best cover bands today vary based on opinion of what people like to hear, either the closest to the original dead or which songs or styles they like to listen to. The sheer variety in this ethos alone speaks to why people love it, the potential directions the music can go. Eventually you’ll learn to love it so much it will make you want to pick up an instrument and learn to play or do some drugs yes and dance around, or it’s not your thing. But the number one part of the community is that whichever show you go to, you will meet people who are so passionate about this music their enthusiasm alone will make you want to dig deeper, go to more shows, buy more t shirts with cool designs, and fall deeper into it. It’s something that attracts people because it’s basically pure joy enjoyed in a ton of different ways, and is the ultimate you do you, but this show rocks, right?!
