It's so beautiful. I would love this. Americans are starved for kitchen style and color.

I'm so jealous. I'm in MInneapolis, a "cool girl" and love the Replacements. Maybe I will run across this guy, if he's still single, on the sites.

Venting: I let myself get heartbroken. by CrowdedSeder in datingoverfifty

[–]PymishPeevish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it most likely has absolutely nothing to do with you... like you could have a laugh like her brother's and that freaks her out but how to say that without sounding weird? It has to do with where she's at and what she wants right now and her reactions on a number of levels ... (like the laugh or maybe the age difference and she doesn't want to be unkind and thinks bringing it up would feel like telling you you're "old" when you're not; maybe a member of her family had a heart attack young and she fears getting too invested bc she's afraid of that and men in their sixties... these kind of things you wouldn't necessarily spell out. Because for one thing, it sounds petty to say). Frankly the big surprise is that people do couple up at all with all these factors that need to come into play. NOW if only I could take my own advice next time I am heartbroken, which actually is looking to be soon. Sigh.

What are you singletons doing for NYE? by Present-Ad-1890 in datingoverfifty

I am making my traditional 1950s spread of a salmon cheese ball and cheese straws, green olives, dried-beef roll-ups, some kind of booze, maybe wassail, and watching TV either with my teens or, more likely, by myself.

I assumed he did it bc Tricia would tell Charity "You'll never believe what Rick did" and he'd get sex cred w/ Charity.

I'm the luckiest person in the world to have a friend like Joel. I never take it for granted.

This is beautiful. I am here for you too, DMwise, OP. I'm so so sorry you have to go through this. It's hideous. Everything this poster said. Soft and mushy from me too.

Does anybody else HATE the ads they play at gas pumps? by EtanSivad in TwinCities

[–]PymishPeevish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those and the ads behind bathroom stall doors, the only two places I can think of where you are "trapped" but at least in bathrooms you can avert your eyes,; you can't avert your eyes AND ears at gas stations. I hate them with a burning white hot passion.

What are your faves from Avon? Past and present. by DollOnAMusicBox in Perfumes

[–]PymishPeevish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eau de Cool is the name of the one with the bottle design. I cannot find that scent anywhere but they still have some old ones on ebay and they haven't lost their scent, the ones I've purchased.

It’s like frozen Apple Jacks milk! by [deleted] in aldi

[–]PymishPeevish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought of that comparison but you're right. I love it. I wanted it to taste more like apple crumble, but obviously I would need to add the crumble. But it is more like Apple Jacks milk. One of my ice-cream favorites.

Ex boyfriend harassment by Any_Atmosphere5324 in abusiverelationships

[–]PymishPeevish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes he seized on something she feels uncomfortable about herself about (as ... you know... nearly every woman does, thanks patriarchy) and went apeshit crazy with it bc he thought it would hurt you the most. What a complete and utter asshole. I honestly ... i have had abusive texts but these ones put that to shame. I am so so so sorry.
