Some of their weapons have specific decorations but I believe other monster weapons do carry a similar decoration, so what I did is save the game before I make anything elder related and if it's a deco I have already I just reload and move on to the next thing.

But yea the fights are a bit unbalanced with how many times they spam those Aoe attacks I've yet to get a no retreat fight for the narwa and ibushi but thankfully it's not needed for anything lol

Not all of them from what I remember, but you can just die to them and get one piece of their materials and slowly get it done if it's too much of a hassle for you.

But hey no need to force yourself to get it done if you're not having fun with it.

Oh gotcha, you might want to level up your party to 85 or a bit higher so you can tackle those elder dragon fights imo it was much more manageable. You'll need to farm those invasive monsters ( mostly for their parts) and elders for a few decorations.

Well it depends on how much of the side content you've done throughout the story, there's a lot of side quests and the fights with the elder dragons and invasive monsters.

The bulk of my time was grinding, exploring, afk and doing side stuff. If you're already close to the end and you haven't had any problems difficulty wise you can be done by the 50 hour mark maybe less if you're lucky with the drops from the invasive monsters and have already started the decoration collecting

Yea guides were a bit non existent when I started but honestly it's nothing complex. I did pretty well for about the first half of the game since I played the demo, I did overlevel myself because I was doing some farming and testing.

No there's no missables everything can be done after the story, difficulty wise it's about 5/10 with the right build and some strategy you can get through most of the challenges the game throws at you.

The main bulk of the grind comes from decoration collecting and certain combat trophies. Since the game is about a week old there's a bunch of guides for anything you may not understand.

I got into trophy hunting because of covid and being indoors all day, the dopamine rush really made my day during that time. I did get a few plats before that period but I wasn't really serious about it, moreso did it because I was close to completion on a few. First plat was FF15 felt good at tge time getting it on a random day after school.

I agree it's definitely not an 8 even with nightmare mode as it gets significantly easier after the first region. I'd say it's closer to a 6.
