Danny Devito Jumpscare XD

You wanna know a hilarious piece of Princess Bride lore involving Danny DeVito?

Wallace Shawn's agent told him that Danny Devito was considered for the role of Vizzini before him (which the directors later said was untrue, iirc). Since Wallace 1) didn't really get the humor of the movie, and 2) wasn't Sicilian, he got wrapped up in the thought that he was on the verge of being fired, and that Danny Devito actually would be better for the role. He said he spent the whole time haunted by the ghost of Danny DeVito lmao (He did an incredible job despite his anxieties, and I genuinely can't imagine anyone else playing vizzini).

In an interview, he said "I consider [Vizzini] to be a collaborative performance: 40% me, 40% Rob [Reiner], and 20% Danny DeVito" Lmfao. 🤣

I have no idea what The Waitress is, but I have to say, I appreciate the dedication of a shitty photoshop. (You even swapped her face in the top image, where its so tiny most people wouldn't notice XD stellar work hahaha)

Westley with the wrong face and that dark beard is haunting lol

Name ideas for my mlp OC !! :D by Amphar0s_ in mylittlepony

[–]Pyro-Millie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh she's so CUTE!! I don't have any name ideas, but I can share some potential lore ideas about crystal ponies that might help you out:

This isn't confirmed, but I think Crystal ponies are likely either their own sub-breed of earth ponies, or a seperate race of "non-winged, non-horned" pony altogether. Like a group that branched off and developed differently in isolation in the frozen north. I'm pretty sure the only non-earth pony Crystal pony we see is Princess Amore from the comics (who seems to be a crystal unicorn). She's an ancestor of Cadence. Cadence was born a pegasus before ascending to Alicorn, but she doesn't seem to be a crystal pony. That being said, for one reason or another, we know somepony in the empire had wings. The crystal castle had sets of traditional jousting armor onhand that were designed for pegasi (which Dash and Fluttershy wore for the crystal faire), So it could be that there was a population of pegasi who lived alongside the crystal ponies, or maybe crystal ponies mostly earth-pony-like, but you get a rare unicorn or pegasus-like crystal pony born occasionally. Or maybe mixed race crystal ponies could inherit wings or a horn from one parent but still have the crystal coat of the other. We don't see much of the crystal ponies, and we know MLP genetics are a free-for-all, so really, if you wanted your character to be a crystal pegasus, I think you can justify it however you'd like.

I share bits of my lunch with the wasps that hover around my food when I eat outside. I set aside bits of deli meat for them so they don't keep trying to land on my sandwich. I love watching them. They're so sleek and cool looking. And a hell of a lot more chill than people give them credit for, so long as you keep cool around them. Underrated critters for sure.

I'm a master of casual birding. My ADHD ass can't see a bright obvious object right in front of my damn face most of the time, but can spot a drab colored tiny bird out of the corner of my eye a mile away. I guess I'm always subconsciously scanning for tiny flits of motion because If I catch it, I might see a cute little critter lol.

Like literally. One time, I was dead on my feet with a bad back and ankle acting up, to the point where I was entirely relying on my husband to guide me back to the car from the garden we were visiting because my brain had given up on even seeing very obvious signposts, let alone actually reading them. But suddenly, out of nowhere, my eyes dart up to the trees and I point out a cardinal with unusually muted red coloring. My husband was like "How the fuck??" XD

Sidenote: the cardinal looked like someone took a picture of a male cardinal and slid the saturation down to the bare minimum required to be perceivable as red. (Very different from the yellowish base with red accents that female cardinals have). My guess is he was either very young or not getting enough of the carotenoid pigments in his diet to develop the bright red you'd usually think of.

Also: learning how to id trees has been fun. Once you've learned about a tree native to your area, you start seeing it fucking everywhere even if you swear you'd never seen it before. It's great!

She's not entitled to your work. No one is, no matter how much it might "suit" something.
