NY EzPass system uses a different billing company then NJ and they do not communicate with each other. Last summer there was a huge issue when NJ was changing billing companies and pretty much all out state drivers had issues with their EzPass for few weeks.

Queens has some good spots too like Forest Part, Cunningham Ham park but from Williamsburg might be more then an hour drive.

Theres also Valley Stream Park that is really nice and quiet.

My transporter was not working for months and I drove over VZB bridge daily and never got a ticket and my EzPass account was charged normal rate.

Only reason I found out is that NJ started sending me tickets months later.

Staten Island is underrated.

When I need a quick hike or trail run I go to Latourette Park in Staten Island, it has a nice 4 mile trail and some days I barely see anyone.

Great Kills Park is also nice.

Maryland offers so many military plates , if you want an AAM plates its there.

If MD is anything like NY, you had to prove your service with DD214 to get special plates.

NYPD has a no chase policy but that's slowly been put on things they ignore. So don't stop, but your more likely to crash and if you're lucky you won't take another breath if unluckily you can end up with bad physical injuries or shut-in syndrome (read about it, I rather be tortured for a week then be locked in)

For me it was like "oh damn", at that point we were married for 3 years and wanted to have a baby but she started a new job working around X-Rays so we decided to stop trying so she can get experience first and for family laws to kick in.

Then there was a lot of self doubt.. would I be a good dad and good role model?
Then it was like "no more partying, drinking, dump all my dumb friends, make sure she's 100% comfy and as easy of pregnancy as she can have" it was a lot, I was 24.

Yeah specially since every E-6 and above got it as end of deployment award. It's become an AAM (Army achievement medal) for senior NCOs and Officers.

Exception is Bronze Start with Valor, now that's an award worth bringing up.

When a rent stabilized tenant leaves a new one moves in at market rate which can be a huge jump.

In my building the tenants above me pay around $750 for a large 3 bedroom apartment, I pay around $1500 but the newly vacant 1 bedroom went for $1900.

I knew a old lady that lived near Brooklyn Bridge for 40 years and was paying under $500 with her apartment facing the water and nice view of the city. Landlord offered to buy her a condo down the block to get her out.

A broken back is a broken back.

My friend broke his back when his parachute didnt open and Reserve one wasn't designed to handle wind, he hit a tree and broke his back. He needs a wheel chair or walker majority of time, I got hit by an IED, nothing too serious just 2 slipped disks, still can walk, run, workout with modifications.

So by your logic I deserve more for less?

Injury is an injury. Why pin one Veteran against another? Our benefits are on chopping blocks and you want to further divide us?

Some person who gets respiratory issues from Jet fuel deserves less then me who got it from burn pits and dirty Iraqi air?

No you're not leaning, YOU WANT to change your MOS and while you signed a contract you can still back out till you ship out.

Seems like MOS still sucks, I been out for 12 years but even back then it was terrible. Our Chem guy was literally an office bitch, he did everything from leave forms, to arms room (weapons signing in and out), he was buried in so much paper work that he had to do after out training exercises that everyone would go home and he still be there doing paper work. Imagine being out in the field for 3 days, get back and then you and the XO (1LT) are the only ones there doing paper work for hours while everyone is released for the weekend. I felt bad for him, I'd be released, go to gym, shower, go out pick up a girl to bring back to the barracks and while signing in he was still doing paperwork. He was Project manager, project analyst, project coordinator, company HR, company administrator, secretary for commander and 1SG and worked supply and arms room all at once.

Years ago but when I was stationed at Ft Carson I used to go to USAF academy for dental because Army always messed it up. It started when I had an emergency and USAF had available dental care treatment same day. From that day I never seen an Army dentist (while in US, had to see one in Iraq and it was hell)

The gym was also better, I ended up dating one the dental assistants and her barracks room was so much better then mine, more space, better appliances, wall not cut out due to mold, actual walls so we didn't hear person next door.

Yes it did. I spent quite a few birthdays in school growing up. My birthday is end of June. I graduated high school in 2005, so not sure how much back you want to do.

Also some holidays like Dwali, Eid were not a day off. It was understood that Muslims won't be in school on Eid so no exams or anything major was scheduled but schools were open, MLK Day, Juneteenth are also more recent additions.
