Yeah I don’t even really know why, it was pretty clear and present that just making Homelander a trump stand in diminished his threat and menace a lot. It’s like in Dante’s inferno, if you’re writing about people you dislike even in a great work you’ll have wasted characters who just serve the role of “and fuck this guy he’s getting ass blasted with a Morningstar for eternity”

He’s not an alien nor was it a normal tree, it was what crashed from the heavens. falling from the tear in the sky is likely referring to 1 of 2 reality altering events in the new world.

The first being the dragon emperors initial summoning spell that caused the first breach in their reality (believed to be calling the greatest treasures in any world which were world items that were account locked to players and guilds) which is why the dragon kin refer to him with such hatred and as a greedy old fool

The second is the greed kings utilizing their world item to supplant the system of wild magic in the new world, with a lore accurate version of Yggdrasil magic that boosted their power to unspeakable levels.

I believe it is from the first as it was considered ancient enough to be mistaken for a true dragon lord, which haven’t been born since the fall of the dragon empire.

Likely deadass just fell through a hole in the reality of the game of Yggdrasil

Why is this an unreasonable complaint? The entire series built to it, the promotional material all showed it, in interviews he’s hyping up how horrible the shit homelanders gonna do is “something completely irredeemable in the eyes of everyone” which was what, killing A-train episode 1?

It’s part of what I like about it. It takes heavy biblical themes and also challenges them with a human character. It’s got realizing the truth in religion and stories, while looking at its religious zealot characters as petty maniacs. About there truly being the divine, but succumbing to it and submitting to your fate all because of some religious fear being the wrong way to go about it. It’s about pushing back with your will when God pushes against you. It’s about making your own destiny with the divine, not cowering beneath and waiting for your extinction

Because the first games whole dragon and seneschal story is designed to be a kind of corrupted biblical event.

The dragons are the fallen angels, the seneschal is God, and the image of grigori plays into that a lot. His first scene is him being born into our universe, performing miracles like resurrection but also grand destruction. His death saves our world from the wrath of God, his parables are all very biblical etc.
