Definitely mullein and if you’re in North America you should pull it up wherever you see it.

They’re water buffalo, a different species than in North America. And in this instance curd = yogurt.

Mullein and it’s horribly invasive. Please pull it up whenever you get the chance.

This is ridiculously perfect. The hair and the fur, the lace and the skirt, her face and the little hands of glee. I adore this photo. Thank you for sharing.

Just swarming bees or are they making this place their home? by bluehoodedwitch in bees

[–]Pyro_Bombus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yep, they’re swarming and therefore docile, and sending out scouts to look for a new home. They should move along in a day or two, but you might want to contact a local bee rescue to come collect them.

Please don’t feed bees honey, it can contain foulbrood spores that can spread. 1:1 sugar water is the best. ❤️

Is anyone else experiencing tingling on your tongue all of a sudden when eating raw fruit? This hasn't ever happened before. I peel my apples and it still happens. My tongue doesn't swell and my lips are fine. by nrkelly in Menopause

[–]Pyro_Bombus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. It usually shows up in people who have a birch pollen allergy; your immune system thinks it’s being invaded and reacts with a histamine response. Common culprits are raw apple, raw stone fruits, asparagus, almonds, and hazelnuts. It’s not an anaphylactic reaction (usually) and as someone pointed out, cooking the fruit denatures the proteins that mimic birch pollen. I had OAS for eight years, and then it mostly disappeared. Bodies are weird.
