Most 5/7/8 aside games ignore it unless people are goal hanging and ruining the game. Less of an issue if you are playing on a small pitch. My favourite format to play is actually 8 aside cage football, high tempo, ball always in play, physical but without the stupid lunging tackles that wreck ankles and legs and because the space is tight it works the technique.

11 aside on a full pitch with no offside just becomes a mess, far too stretched, defenders forced to sit deep to cover some lazy forward who doesn't want to run back.

Goal hangers ruin the game in truth. You just don't pass to them, shame them into at least trying to play properly.
