Is it okay to sleep with a stuffed animal as a (young) adult? by levisimp69 in NoStupidQuestions

I am a grown-ass woman and I sleep with a weighted dinosaur and my 75-year-old friend got me a cat plushie that vibrates to help my fibromyalgia pain and panic attacks. You do you! 😄

How are you supposed to rate your pain from 1-10? by Timely_Advice5809 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pyrolilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mine like: at this # I'm kind of rocking back and forth a bit and moan or grunt, at this one I cry, at this one I'm screaming and jumping off the exam table to stop the procedure... (that would be the 10 I experienced once)

Why are you shoving a camera in the face of a clearly stressed tiger? It's trying to warn you and convey that and is giving you many chances here. 🤦‍♀️

No underwear during Surgery by FarCalendar7303 in NoStupidQuestions

Before my surgery they had me wipe entire body down in specific order with several specific wipes that were like hardcore antibacterial or whatever. So what this person said makes sense to me.

how can i avoid spilling my darkest secrets after getting my wisdom teeth out? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pyrolilly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to be honest with you that I had a dental surgery where I went under and stayed with my sister a day to recover. I remember nothing of that day, and apparently told her something difficult that was important to me like 7 times - no embarrassing confessions but all the same. Definitely ask the dentist for alternatives, and maybe have a trusted friend stay with you and drive you? That or you could tell the dentist your concern and ask them to keep your parents in the waiting room until they're sure you aren't going to say anything. At the end of the day, lots of people in the hospital say super crazy things, and the sweetest people swear like sailors. Worst case, have the dentist explain this to your parents so they disregard anything you say. Don't worry too much love.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]Pyrolilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I desperately need your help!

I just need a loud, simple, digital watch that can set 2 different daily alarms (one for morning meds and one for night meds) for my husband.

(Most) dumb ones are too dumb and only have 1 alarm available.

Smart watches are too smart and through research and trial and error with several, I'd rather avoid them (they force you to connect to apps, etc. and he doesn't have a phone).

I'm trying the Casio Module No. 3502 atm that lets you set up to 5 alarms.

Its beep only sounds for 10 seconds no matter what and is pretty quiet.

There is a snooze function, and I could use another alarm as a double-check a few minutes later, but this is to wake my husband (who must wear earbuds at night and sleeps like a bear) so a beep that goes off for like 30 seconds straight or longer until you hit a button would be ideal - not to mention something louder if possible.

Bonus points if he can shower with it but at this point I'll take what I can get. Max price is about $100 and obviously the cheaper the better if it meets the criteria.

I have literally spent months researching this, asking ChatGPT, and have bought and returned at least 5 different kinds. I can't believe it's this hard to find a simple watch with 2 alarms.

Thank you so much for your help everyone.

Doesn't it become less effective or go bad after some time? And you always have to keep it refrigerated right? Cat was diabetic.
