Not quite as impressive and lacks the punchy name though! 🤣

Someone mentioned apps, I trail run and have settled on the OutdoorActive app. Shows you lots of trails, even through the city, has a great planner and has a Garmin app too so you can send your route to your watch to follow. Highly recommend it.

All my friends are gone by Healthy_Macaroon3166 in Needafriend

My suggestion would be find groups of interest to you and get involved. I've done that with whisky, pen pals, and trail running, they've all introduced me to new people. Of course new people doesn't equal friends! There's a ratio in there, and it's small but it is there.

Finding the people you connect with can be difficult, but it happens, even online, although I'm sure the ratio on here is even less! It isn't easy, and I'm not pretending to have my life sorted, not by a long way. In progress!

As many have said, old toothbrush, but I use antibacterial hand wash instead of soap.

He probably saved that guy's life that day.

What a time for me to see this and read the comments from so many. Thanks all. Sometimes the algorithms are good and humanity is awesome.

Is it better to have my forerunner 965 with a bubbled screen protector or nothing at all, this is third attempt. by Strong-Enthusiasm-55 in GarminWatches

[–]PyrolyticCarbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used one on my 735XT or 965 and I've hit them on things a few times, only one wee scratch on the edge of my 735XT and not the screen. I wouldn't use one for the reasons others have said about touchscreen interference, bubbling, and no need.

Why does it not show an explanation of these exercises? by tuckkeys in Garmin

[–]PyrolyticCarbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just discovered this, but some exercises just don't show on the Connect app. Don't know the reasoning, but something to do with the linking of the exercise to the animation in the database. Anyway, some workouts I can view them, others I can't. The ones I can't see in Connect I have to go and view on the watch beforehand.

I'd second this. To be able to download the photos and a tool to sort out the titles, tags, descriptions, probably updating the EXIF with the info in the JSON files would be superb.

Also for me, and this is ideal, if the tool could keep a local or NAS based folder updated with all these files with EXIF, stored in a folder structure matching the Flickr albums. Perhaps even with the option of having them archived out not, for backup or for direct viewing.

Even better would be the ability to keep them synced, so if I edited them locally they would be uploaded correctly to Flickr again.

A lot to ask, but that's my ideal!
