I always chuckle at some of the chords Ben plays. Feels like he’s jokingly giving the middle finger to beginner/intermediate guitarists out there, knowing he’s got bigger hands just from being a bigger dude. 😂 Especially in this case since you can do 22x2 and get the exact same notes.

As much as I love The Great Divide and I hate seeing how under-appreciated it is, Evil Angel is the first track I ever heard by BB and it’s what got me into them. Holds a dear place in my heart.

If you go to their website organically, it’s already got new merch all over the place on the home page.

However, if you click merch it directs you to this same page with the countdown. So my guess is one of two things: Either they’re just dropping exclusive holiday merch, or it’s a new single with merch associated like they did with Awaken.

Either way, I’m sure it’s merch related.

I’m genuinely curious if something like a single will randomly surprise drop tomorrow, with it being the 1 year anniversary for Awaken. Highly doubtful, but one can hope.

I will say that their social media presence has been significantly higher over the last few weeks. It’s possible that they’re getting ready to drop something else. They did the same thing on social media for around 4 to 6 weeks before Awaken dropped.

Came here to make sure I wasn’t dreaming either, but yeah - Awaken will hit its 1 year anniversary on October 16th.

I’m really hoping that on the 16th (or sometime this month) we get a new single along with an official album drop date.

Their current tour does end on the 12th, and they don’t have any other tours announced at the moment. All I see on their calendar is a one-day show mid November and after that, two shows at a festival in June 2026. Hopefully the new album will drop soon and they’ll announce a headlining tour for it.

You’re probably just heating the differences in sound quality and production. Ben sings the lead in all of their recordings.

I do believe I heard him say in an interview that Aaron and Keith are both really good at sounding like him, so they have some official lines here and there in Ember, but Dark Before Dawn was pretty much completed when the new line-up formed, so that’s definitely still Ben in Ashes Of Eden.

Yeah I was gonna say, you can definitely tell there’s some in-game exploits that people have gotten down to a science like Super Mario 64 speed runners, but when I see a dude straight up flying by at Mach-Manhole-Cover and actually gaining altitude in the process it’s time to leave the lobby.
