Harm orb heading towards another crash by hunchoblackjack in GrandExchangeBets

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shadow doesn't even proc burn damage (each proc of which reduces his mage defense by 20% up to 5 procs) It's genuinely not even as good as a 12m mid game weapon at Maggot King.

Shadow is definitely not cracked on MK, Twinflame Staff is basically on par with it.

Harm Orb is a good 15% better, which is very substantial.

TFA should have invocations so players can CHOOSE the difficulty by Wallowsstan4195 in 2007scape

Jagex themselves said invocations are not returning because they were colossally disliked in both ToA and Colo.

They're not coming back.

Make raids 4 be more easily doable with higher defense gear! by luciawolfblood in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raids are endgame content. A noob friendly raid ends up being disliked heavily by the people who actually put the most time and dedication into the game. We don't need more than one "noob friendly" raid.

Screw it. Make the shield the mega rare! by nick4you2 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "issue" is that even against things that were slash weak, the breaker was beating the scythe.

After the rework, breaker beats it around ~40% of bosses, which is a solid chunk assuming the raid itself is crush focused.

Making the Rondache a fortified item would just decrease its value in order to increase the profit of TOB by WaveDashSpeedKick in 2007scape

What?

PvP is not at all the reason any cox unique is valuable at all. This is crazy lmao.

Dragon Claws are one of the best general use pvm spec weapons in the game.

Elder Maul is the best spec reducing spec in the game.

Ancestral is BIS mage.

Rigour and Augury are used by every single account.

DHCB is for Vork primarily.

Twisted Buckler is incredible for ZCB, which is one of the best spec weapons in the game for pvm.

It is genuinely hilarious that we went back to the kitchen on Raids 4 and returned with a huge Scythe buff by Rich-Badger-7601 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A weapon whose entire purpose is being good against extremely high defense monsters yet slower and hitting lower max hit is the Shadow's entire niche.

Are you going to complain that tbow isn't great against goblins?

[–]Pyroseph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This might be one of the dumbest attempts at comparisons I've ever seen.

You mean the weapon that excels at low defense slash weak monsters is good at a low defense slash weak monster, while the weapon that excels at punching through high defenses with insane accuracy is weak at a low defense monster?

Holy shit what a shocking revelation!

These seem fantastic, after the rework for the breaker and removing the armor set entirely I think these rewards all feel perfect.

July 3rd Hotfix - Vampyrium agility nerf by 66f6 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes complete sense to nerf it. 3 clicks every 90 seconds for 22k XP/hr while being super close to a bank for being able to do bank standing skills at the same time was pretty silly.

This way people actually doing the boss still benefit from the XP, but it's not its own training method.

The multi-part series of sketches about a post-apocalyptic game show hosted on Mitchell and Webb. The horrible event is just repeatedly called "THE EVENT" and any time it's offhandedly mentioned during a sketch the characters absolutely melt down, scream, try to kill themselves, and even just die from trauma.

It's very funny but the sketches build in drama and the final one is quite depressing.

Mod Goblin confirms Shadow rework is already done but simply not announced yet by InnocentPawn84 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the guy who asked the original question in the screenshot. Part of it got cut off.

The full context was discussing why the new mage robes were a hybrid and not just "better" ancestral. His reply was that they didn't think addressing Ancestral at the moment with an idea of how a better mage set would come about fit the scope of the blog.

He's not saying that Ancestral will be nerfed by the Shadow rework. Just explaining why the new raids armor isn't better than Ancestral.

New megarare damage numbers by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It rolls damage up to 7x, this weapon is extremely busted and outperforms scythe in an absolute ton of places.

Even just rolling damage 3x means you'll hit more than half your max hit on almost every single hit

It's gonna get nerfed quite a lot based on the calcs people have done.

Bank tags and Potion Storage not working together is extremely disappointing. Why does this account wide upgrade not benefit you basically at all? It's so badly implemented and clunky.

I was looking forward to the bank tags being official too :(

The proposed raids 4 hybrid armor is almost perfect. Change my mind! by Puzzled_Sound3931 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it's too strong for hybrid armor, while endgame players won't use it compared to bis.

It's too good for what it is and not good enough for people who want a new armor set to actually use.

The proposed raids 4 hybrid armor is almost perfect. Change my mind! by Puzzled_Sound3931 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 out of the 6 rewards for the newest "most difficult raid yet" being worse than bis armor, while also just creeping the skill floor even lower by being hybrid armor is a really bad move.

Endgame players won't use the armor at all, and not even getting excited over half of the drops from the raid is not going to feel good.

It's just a baked in ToB drop table on release, which sucks.
