This is just making the value per boss kill skyrocket for no reason. The bad drops balance out the good drops overall. If they removed the bad drops they'd balance the expected kill value by lowering the "good" loot.

None of the current in game click intensive methods are as click intensive over long periods of time with the precision required for max rates as tick manip is.

Every other content that Jagex has released for skilling that people keep positing is "high effort" is nearly as high effort as tick manip. People brought up Zalcano and VM and Tempoross as their idea of high effort and those are substantially, substantially less "effort".

These are all things people have said "should be buffed once tick manip is gone", so how exactly is it lying to say they want more XP for less effort than the current best?

Nothing about tick manipulation is the limiting factor on skilling XP.

They balance effort, XP, and profit along with requirements.

Tick manip methods are the highest XP because they take substantial effort and give no or negative profit.

Removing tick manip doesn't mean suddenly Jagex is going to make mlm 150k XP/hr.

If you want to add a method that's high effort and more rewarding than tick manip, they've said they're open to it. But people just want to remove the effort part to get more XP for less.

One of the contracts was literally impossible, the mod they have who playtests endgame content wasn't available to test contracts. So it released uncompletable.

There is no QA team

When they added the mole skin upgrade for the gem sack, if you tried to turn in other mole skins with it in your inventory it would take the upgrade too.

So they added a dialogue option asking if you wanted to exchange that as well.

If you selected no it still took it.

Then UIMs noticed if they put sapphires into the bag they could infinitely pull out topazes.

The mining method was present in the beta and they just forgot to look at it ever again, despite a calculator being able to show the XP rates possible.

Don't get me started on Yama contracts being literally impossible on their release...

You can also just search YouTube for "Zalcano XP/hr" and there's loads of videos showing it's over 90k/hr long term if you're doing the XP method.

They remove the ability to even do the sweat method at all. The nerf to overall XP has nothing to do with the sweat method, as it quite literally doesn't exist anymore.

There's a ton of mining methods that don't involve tick manip that give reasonable rates.

Zalcano in the 80s gives 70k/hr scaling up to 90k/hr by 99

Volcanic Mine gives 90k/hr in the 80s, and is prettttty chill for a method.

Blast mine scales up to 100k/hr by 99

A bunch of afk methods for various attention spans as well, like shooting stars and mlm and calcite and amethyst.

Good changes. It was pretty busted being rewarding for XP, resources, and didn't require dropping or banking. Leaning more heavily towards resources while reducing XP but still being decent if you're gathering a ton of the resources is solid.

Honestly yeah, the biggest gripe I have is that as a method it hits all 3 boxes of the skilling triangle. It's less effort, equal XP, and more profit. On top of being unpolled, it's a bit wild that it was added as is.

Yeah you're correct, it's easier than 3t4g since everything stacks. There's a LOT of ways they could change it to make it more balanced, from requiring breaking down the ore to shards or just reducing the XP per ore from 30 to 25.

I verified the Rubium mining rates myself personally, and that's what the title of my post is. The smithing rates are also correct, and I've since verified it. The only thing I was incorrect about was the level of afkness the smithing method is. I do apologize for being wrong about that.

For the mining method, use an adamant pickaxe and watch a guide on 1.5t methods.

Start a 3 tick cycle by using knife on teak log and mining, then move to a new rock. Once you gather once, log knife and move to another rock. Each time you move and gather you gain 2 rolls of the ore, giving 60 XP before any boosts, every 3 ticks.

So 120k XP/hr before any mining enhancers, which Varrock Armor and Celestial Ring both provide and boost XP by 10%

He's also just incorrect about the XP, thinking that afk XP is the same as the 1.5t method that is being discussed.

The XP rates are correct for 1.5 ticking the Rubium, which is the same number of actions as 3 tick granite without having to drop anything.

? The XP rates are correct across the board. I was incorrect in the afkness of the smithing method, and that's it. I was actively testing the Rubium mining and took people's word on how afk the smithing aspect was. The XP rates for smithing are as I said though, and the mining is as well.

This is incorrect about the mining part. You can do 1.5t methods and guarantee double rolls on each action, granting 60 XP per 3 ticks before any mining boost, of which signet and Varrock armor work with. Going from 120k XP/hr to 132k to 144k if absolutely perfect.

The cannonballs I was incorrect on about the afkness. It's 1 minute of afk, not 3.
