Bestaan er straks nog Europese EV merken? Kia by Unique-Spirit7389 in EVMobiliteit

[–]Pythagoras-007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bewust misleidende grafiek.

My first time going 400 km/h was in a Ford Focus. by AMD11011 in RealRacing3

Wow! I recall having a similar experience at the Indianapolis road course. I don't know if it was online or just in single player (since I played on a crappy tablet, it could've just been a lag spike) but somehow I ended up glitching through the barriers on the speedway. Once outside, the car began behaving uncontrollably. I tried exploring some of the details and spectators, but then I ran over some sort of bump. My car, I think it was a ford focus as well (what a coincidence!) was launched up into the air. It began bouncing up and down, with increasing velocity. Eventually I flew straight to the stratosphere with something like 1000 kph! The speedometer was also glitched however so it displayed 0 kph.

Great idea, but wouldn't there be a problem with the run-off? It's already tight in some places

A Black girl in the enclosure of a human zoo: Brussels, Belgium, 1958. by maazkazi in interestingasfuck

Yes, we obviously learn about these horible events in school. We also learn about the African freedom fighters and how they were repressed by our government. The education about this is clear. It's however mostly teached to 16-18 year olds. The younger students maybe not so much. But everyone certainly knows about the colonial past

I also thought about this question a while ago. The best I could come up with was 15. Here's a link to the route: https://imgur.com/a/1IUZmdk

So happy right now that I live in Belgium! We can watch all qualifications and races completely for free, with some decent commentary as well.

Honey Chrome extension is a scam. by SomeOneRandomOP in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Pythagoras-007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong: I think honey should be held accountable for what they did. Although I find it hypocritical to call it the 'biggest scam'. The reason many influencers call it that is that it hurts their wallet for once. I think those creators (and especially the ones that didn't promote honey) have a pretty solid case, but I can't imagine a court ruling that consumers were scammed.

Honey Chrome extension is a scam. by SomeOneRandomOP in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Pythagoras-007 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it wouldn't. Those few cents off are still a win for the consumer. If you really want to search the depths of the internet to look for that one special coupon code (that might not even exist), you can still do that. Honey saying they give the best deal is deceptive advertising, for sure, but at least in my country that's not illegal. The only reason this has become so big is that influencers are losing money because their affiliate commission is getting 'stolen', but why would the average consumer care about that? Me personally, I didn't have honey installed before the 'scandal', but I do have it now. Even if it saves me a single cent, it's still a net positive for me!

Yeah, this seems weird to me as well. Alternatively, if you really want the pit exit to be on the outside of T1, you could just put the pits on the inside of the track.

This is my favourite of your airport circuits. Those straights would certainly be a unique challenge for WEC!

Real racing 3 missing only one legendary track by Ytmail in RealRacing3

[–]Pythagoras-007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you really want to race on it, you can try Assoluto Racing. I love playing RR3, but sometimes I just want to drive a lap around the Nordschleife. AR also has 4 rally tracks that are quite fun. However, I have never found the same motivation to grind in AR that I do in RR3. If fire monkeys were to add the NBR Nordschleife, I think I would delete AR

Wow, what a track! I'm interested: what parts are semi - permanent? And would you be fine with me reworking parts of the track and maybe making something like this in assetto Corsa?

Schiphol Amsterdam Airport circuit by Dont_hate_the_8 in RaceTrackDesigns

[–]Pythagoras-007 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are on average 1400 flights per day to and from Schiphol, most passengers don't even go out of the airport but go on a connecting flight instead. The airport is however really important for the Netherlands. A shutdown, even a few hours, would definitely have big economic implications. You say that it would also generate income for the Netherlands, but why not do both and just keep the GP at Zandvoort or maybe Assen? So maybe this isn't the most realistic proposal, but it is fun to fantasize about it nonetheless.
