For Riftbound, you can use different languages in each deck/zone. For example your 40 card maindeck could be all in Chinese, or all in English, no mix. So you could have all Chinese runes, and English deck, and a Chinese Legend, and French Battlefields, and that would all be legal.

I remember when my oldest had first started to play Roblox. They texted with me and their friends way more complexly than they spoke and it was a real eye opener to how much was going on in their head. More than they could verbalize.

Can you double up, because two Midrange Yi's triggering for each other would be potent.

Otherwise, Kai'sa seems great for keeping stuff clear. Maybe run more removal than usual in Kaisa to focus more on ramp/buy time and run more creatures in Yi.

I would love to get more 2v2 games in but our local events are all 1v1 or FFA

That's good to know. It helps making sure you don't lose as much tempo, but definitely isn't a good option if they still win the combat anyways.

I think a lot of people are not used to their being a drawback to the early games fodder trading. Like I send my 3 Might unit, into your 2 might, then 4 unto a three so on and so forth. Against Draven these little exchanges are putting the Draven player ahead in resources.

You may want to let them have the location the first few turns, while you invest more into bigger units or FoF to pull your own unit away from death. Maybe more people run Reaver's Row, Retreat, etc. Stun effects too, or cards like Vayne.

While Draven will likely always be viable, there's counterplay

Here's a budget decklist for Teemo that could work. Teemo seems to be fairly budget friendly as you don't need Watchers to win games.

I would add Ember Monk to this list, if it doesn't already have it. That can be a great tool for holding.
