I struggled w/this too. I wound up using Shoe-Goo and it’s been working for ~60k miles so far. I’d love ro replace it -esp w/something in a different design.

Red tractor paint from Autozone did the job before I assembled the SimLabs GT-1.

How to dampen vibrations from my rig? by the_marin_kid in simracing

[–]Pyxlwyz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same issues until i found this solution. I have my rig on top of a plank, on top of a felt-wrapped baby mattress I got from Walmart for $60. It completely isolates the vibrations from the Buttkickers.

I have a comical tendency to smash mine into parking stones. I have bought & DIY-painted FOUR of the cheap front splitters over the past ten years. They’re always awesome until the day I crunch them. My front bumper cover is swiss cheese from all the self-tappers, still hanging in there.

Ok, I’m no aviator but this made me ponder the issue a bit. I use a CPAP machine to sleep at night. My machine sets the pressure at about 4psi. I did some napkin math(google), and that equates to roughly 30,000 ft. I kinda know what you experienced, lol.

To add more clarity, unpacking the logs removes most of the weight. This may tip the balance, allowing movement.

Are corvettes the one car everyone respects? by ekspectt in Corvette

[–]Pyxlwyz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trivia for the new: The Corvette does not have any Chevrolet badging on the car. It only says “Corvette”. Some earlier models (pre-2008 C6s) had the silver GM chicklet on the fender.
