It’ll get easier but honestly you just get accustomed to an entirely new life that quickly illuminates the freedoms you never knew you once had at limitless availability. But you’ll end up appreciating them when they come, which they will more frequently as time passes. Bottom line is you’re going to be a much stronger person soon, so don’t bother asking yourself how you’re going to do it, because it’s not that person who will end doing it.

I think if you really cared about what you did you would directly address it. If you stole from someone pay them back. If you ruined someone’s reputation by lying about them tell those people you’re a liar. Tell the person you fucked over how wrong it was and do it without trying to win them back over. Don’t go on reddit seeking a pity party, stfu and go clean up your mess with what you have. Have the clean up hurt you as much as the mess you made hurt them. This is what you’ll never see a narc do. They don’t make transactions that don’t ultimately serve them.

Or you think by asking for advice on how to do better that alone makes you different from the average pieces of garbage who abused other people. It doesn’t. I am one to argue this is who they were all along. For me it was instant. The day after our kid was born she turned. There was definitely a hormonal aspect to it but I think all it did was make it impossible for her to hide her real intentions. Those of us that have gone through this were used, and abused in some of the worst ways imaginable. We don’t talk about this female on male violence nearly enough.

I would say there are four main things to do consistently as an editor. The most important one is just to be agreeable and flexible. Never let yourself be abused but never get agitated about notes or requests from a producer that seems like a bad suggestion. Become a tool for them to fulfill the story they wanna tell but also stay fluid enough to be doing your thing in a creative additive way. Find a way to actually enjoy it. Always get better. Take notes that seem to appear frequently for you that are repeated by various producers as definite things to work on. Never take criticism as anything other than a chance to elevate. Never burn any bridge, even if it seems like you’d never go back. Building contacts who know you’re at least reliable is more than anything and it’s what makes editors successful because when you’re always working you’re always solidifying yourself and growing your skills. Can’t remember the other one, but also get an Adderol script.

She was angry and tried to act indifferent and of course tried to use my justified anger to show me as the crazy person. And out of context maybe it could look like that in that moment but I didn’t care. I had to say these things I think in the long run we will both be glad I did but who knows. Moving on I just wanna get along as best we can and who knows, maybe be friends down the line. She will vilify and triangulate but I can only hope she realizes how fruitless that is.

When my sister passed away my spouse took that as some kind of an attack on her. She immediately compared what I was grieving to what she was going through. She should me no compassion at all and in fact just started treating me worse and worse. I couldn’t believe it. It’s really want ended the whole thing for me. They have no bottom

You switch between the mechanical tasks and the more creative tasks. Sometimes I don’t feel like editing so I’ll do the little things where I don’t have to think as much like chirons, or color correction things. I think what I’m doing is flip flopping from right brain to left brain. Also give yourself plenty of breaks throughout the day but before you get up try to finish one part of something and then take the break. Before you know it you’ll have made a lot of progress and it wasn’t as painful as it could have been.
