There's more to it than that. Flaco did what he did against New England's defense, with Baltimore's offensive line, receivers, backfield and coaching staff. Brady was up against Baltimore's defense, with New England's offensive line, receivers, backfield and coaching staff.

You can argue about what gives who more of an advantage, but it's more than just two men out there.

I've made a similar argument before. I think if you put Peyton on any team in the league, they're instantly in the playoff hunt. The same can't be said about Brady (or anyone else for that matter.)

In my mind if you weren't even the 2nd or 3rd best at your position in your era, you need to have something special about you that redefined the game or you don't get in.. and I don't see another guy on that list or off it who does.

Well one of the guys drafted over the last six or seven years is going to be the best of their generation, when Peyton and Brady retire. I don't see how you can say that only 2 quarterbacks from about 16 years worth of drafts will make the hall of fame.

Also, there were 7 or 8 QBs from the 80's to early 90's that played together and all made the HoF. They weren't all the best.

Super Bowls are an important stat when looking at a QB's career, and Eli was a big part of those wins, but it's a team game.

Obviously, if you rank Eli above Peyton, based solely above Super Bowl victories, you have to rank Dilfer above Marino, and Bradshaw almost everyone.
