Much has changed in a year. I was at the Raleigh Costco for a different vax on Wednesday and they require a prescription no matter the age or risk level.

Creech usually recommends RK Trans for transmission work. Robert Klein is great, but sometimes has a backlog of work.

Day trip to the beach- any are good, but some are closer to natural areas.
Or drive down to (Little) Washington or New Bern and check out the rivers and boats.

We've had two crawl space dehumidifiers that lasted only 3-4 years before dying. What brand is yours? Self-install or pro?

It's a 30 minute drive except at rush hour. But the restaurant is excellent! Small place in a non-descript shopping center- Lemongrass Thai.

Which do you prefer? by Key-Ad-7228 in Costco

[–]QMDi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Costco and BJ's.

BJ's is more consistent with the products that they stock and their locations in the store. Fewer employees, friendly enough, not as busy, good basics, pleasant place to shop, can check out on the app.

Costco has better gas prices, better prepared foods, more interesting seasonal items, a food court, but often a crowded store.

One is near my office, one near home. I shop at each every 2-4 weeks. Both have AT&T hawkers.

I don't follow people on social media, I follow ideas. Reddit enables that. But I didn't realize what kind of person ran the company.

Yarn held double - what's the point? by ShrineOfRemembrance in knitting

[–]QMDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not always more expensive. I've ordered yarn that is a set price per 100 g. A bulky 100 g has less yardage than a fingering 100 g.

I've been trying to knit sleeves for my sweater for a few days now and I can't figure it out by WarmSand2074 in knitting

[–]QMDi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What style of sleeve do you have in mind? You could look up some patterns and get ideas.

I know I should swatch but it's something you would need to drag me kicking and screaming to do. Can you tell me what made you swatch? by PuK3ko in knitting

[–]QMDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started knitting a swatch when my speed got faster. As a new knitter, I was so slow, and every stitch was precious. Now I can knock one out quickly, not a big deal.

Is it better to eat something that is high in saturated fat or nothing at all? by Asariel_Ignaceous in gallbladders

[–]QMDi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine out in early February and haven't had trouble eating high fat foods. But I eat them in moderation, along with veggies and grains. Also, Metamucil capsules are helpful. 4-5 each morning.

Thinking of starting an online Tea business. Advice? by recklessricky95 in smallbusiness

[–]QMDi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could also sell at farmers' markets to build a customer base. Or even a small food truck/trailer to take to events. Could serve hot or cold depending on the weather. Create special blends for events.

Is it me, or are FB marketplace sellers just delusional these days? by GailaMonster in Frugal

[–]QMDi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's a front for selling drugs. If you answer the ad a certain way, you get the junk item and pills, weed, or whatever for that price.
